Bomb series not working with CAPS

Hi all,

When I use Capslock to select a weapon I have the following problem.
I selected first some rockets after the bombs, but dropping the bombs in series is not possible anymore.
So, I did a test flight with only bombs and used CAPS again and still not possible. You get a message in screen. The problem is I can’t deactivate the weapon selector, but shouldn’t be necessary as the bombs are selected.

I’ve added a screenshot with the message when I press the key binded to “drop bomb series”.

Is this a know issue or am I doing something wrong? How can I deactivate the weapon selector,… Oh, and yes, when I don’t press CAPS, the bomb series is working fine.
Thanks for readiing.

drop bomb series

There are two different ways of dropping multiple bombs, there is “serries” (the thing you select before you spawn) and there is “ripple quantity” (selected through key bind or the “Y” menu).

The serries only works when you are not in weapon selector mode. For example if you only have one type of missile and one type of bomb. If you have two separate key binds for bombs and missiles you do not need to select weapons to use them both

The ripple quantity replaces your key bind for single bomb drop with a set amount of bombs but requires the weapon selector to be turned on.

You can either use the “Y” menu to change ripple quantity and turn on/off weapons selector, I think it’s “Y-3-5” to get to those options (“Y” → “weaponry” → “weapon selector” ), or you can set key binds for those things in your controls under “aircraft” → “weaponry” and then set the keys you want for each option.

That explains it!!

Thanks again for your help, I noticed as I pressed Capslock by mistake and couldn’t turn it off. I thought it was a small bug, but it clearly isn’t. :-)

If I press Capslock again by mistake is there a way to turn it off? As pressing Capslock again didn’t do that for me? Best of course to just not press Capslock again. lol

There is a key bind for turning of the weapon selector but i don’t know if that is set as a standard or if it’s empty by default and you have to set it yourself. Otherwise you can turn it of in the “Y” menu as described above (I think Y-3-5-7 is the default for turning of the selector).

I wish we can just unblind the key.

You should be able to. Just find the key bind in the list, mark it by clicking to the right of the name and then click the little “remove bind” button in the bottom right, to the left of the “assign button” button.

Yes, I just checked.

Unbind the selector:
Search for “Visual weapon selector”

To bind button to deactivate it:
Search for “Exit selected weapon mode” (standard for me it was Shift+Q)

Good luck
