Not lockeed don’t get your hopes up, Also a additional reason it probably is really bad is the non-existand participation of allies like the F-35 also there no pontetial buyers because a orange single handly ruined extrernal trust and the problem of that is the Development budget is allot lower.
F-22 was also fully internally developed. same with F-15, F-4, F-16, F-14, F/A-18
F-35 is the exception to the rule and look how that is going, great plane sure, but $2 trillion to go for the program

sure for the F-22, but what about F-15, F-16, and F-4 all of which were export sucess as well as good aircraft and all of which were developed by the US
Good aircraft i agree one of the reason they were so great is because of exports, But i don’t think anybody will buy F-22 and F-47 anytime soon like the F-35 contarcts have started falling because you kno why

also, no one is buying the F-22 no matter what bc its literally illegal. and F-47 may follow in its footsteps

I agree based on the lack of a silent eagle variant for the advanced eagle series I think boeing is a terrible company
Silent Eagle was always a waste of time and money.
I can give you an entire essay on why if you would like.
People forget that Boeing is just as much responsible for the YF-22 as Lockheed. And it says something that they managed to be they were the one of the finalists for the JSF program with their X-32.

And where are they now? Oh yeah that’s right, coming off the factory line and heading to combat units. You can pick literally any aircraft ever built and find issues with test and evaluation airframes, which they were, that are rectified prior to service entry.
I mean I dont think we would ever have gotten that, iirc air to air is mostly gonna be up to 5th+6th gen with maybe some f15s throwing missiles from stupid far
with that kind of fighting theirs no point investing in a non multirole f15 because its not like maneuverability is gonna help too much and the EX should be good enough for everything it needs
but LO is a benefit in most situations so SEX makes some sense
I had the idea that boeing could install exhaust bypass nozzles in an x pattern to provide horizontal stability
It could have them synced with the FBW.
But this is just my own idea, not what is actually true.
some old test have shown you can replace stabilizer by canting the wings upward slightly, it wont be as stable but is functional and removes flat control surfaces for stealth reasons
