Boeing F-47 Next Generation Air Dominance Fighter Jet

No it was Lockheed who dropped out, rn it’s just NoGr and Boeing

Oh alright thanks for the clarification
Last time Grumman made a Navy Fighter it ended up being, totally objectively, no personal opinion involved at all, the best fighter jet ever made!

Not sure how canards reduce rear aspect RCS. If anything, the inclusion of canards is because it offers better fuel efficiency and longer ranges.

Not necessarily. Their production capacity could be being tied up with B-21 and the Sentinel program to meet the demand. A navalized F-47 could very likely be the offering for F/A-XX from Boeing, and if they were able to win the NGAD contract they are clearly competitive.

well, they just left competition for F/A-XX, so, who knows

You have a link for this?

Ah, sorry.
Confused boieng and LM.

The navy will never accept an Air Force design haha. That’s the biggest reason a navalized F22 or YF23 never happened, the navy refused to entertain the idea of using an airforce design. They gotta have their own!!

Lol,

Vert stabilizer on bottom one (draggier and less stealthy)

So of the 2 airframe concept, bottom one is objectively worse (and not even 6th gen tbh)

you genuinely don’t know what you are talking about. There is zero information on these vehicles, tempest is a concept being flung about between Britain and japan, F47 has been known about for less than a few hours. Must admit the 47th president unveiling fighter number 47 is a baller move tho.

F22 has similar dorsal fins and that’s a mach 2 bumblebee. its fast as all hell and stealthy enough to ignore most potential enemies radars 30 years on.

Please prove that vert stabilizer does not have drag if I don’t know what I’m talking about. And please prove that extra surface area has no effect on RCS.

All true 6th gen do not have vertical stabilizer for a reason

(Btw, @Ace_of_LuftWaffe can tell you that we’ve actually known about NGAD X-planes for some time now)

its their point to have a bit of drag. Its like the centreboard on a yacht, STABILISES it. Does that alone prove one worse than the other? no

we are not in the 6th gen of aircraft yet this is a farcical statement.

*you

*all of us. this plane is not in service

and Jaguar has driven their model 00 several times, still concept

And? 6th generation fighter airframe exist. It’s like saying YF-22 is not a 5th gen airframe
