not so sure if you take it against modern planes like the j16 or su35, even the rafale and ef2000 are more powerful
no? idk where you are getting that from, f15s have always had relatively good sustained turn rates and have always been very good at BVR and still are
forget dogfight, we are talking about bvr. we dont know the bvr power of the f15 since it never went to air to air combat sortie for the last 2-4 years, the thing became more of a bomber that a fighter
no? the F15EX is replacing the F15C in the air to air role currently
and we do know its BVR power, one of the most powerful AESA radars in a fighter, some of the best kinematics in a fighter (boeing employs have stated mach 2.8) and combined with some of the best long range missiles in aim120d3 and now aim260
Man all this talk in the thread reminded me how much i am praying for the EX to come in the december update :D
-f15c with apg63v3 have range of 163km (1,21 t/w ratio)
-f15ex with apg82 220km (1.18)
-su35s ibris-e 250km in wide search 400km in narrow (1.13)
-rafale f4 thales rbe2 170km (1.12)
-ef typhoon tranch 4 captor-e 250km (1.25)
-mig31bm zaslon-m/am 320km
all aesa radar
It’s crazy how people overestimate some stuff…
maybe you should look at what that is comparing because that number for the US radars is a almost definitely a smaller sized target then the other stats listed
not to mention US equipment public information stats are often less than what there real proper stats are
all results are for a rcs target of 2-5 meter, if you want i can give the link but there more that 40
What loadout are you getting these thrust to weight ratios from?
for the f15 is 8 missile with 2 fuel tanks/same with the ex/ su35 is only 10 missile with the ecm/ rafale with 3 tanks and 4 meteor and 4 mira/ir/ ef typhoon is 3 tanks with 6 meteor and 2 irst/
There’s a few Russian magazines that give the an apg 63 v2 range for ~180km but Idk what target size it’s for
All the Russian radars are pesa not aesa
Tbf Russian magazines have also claimed the Su-35 is better than the F-22
those are not at all good sources
none of them are showing test results they are all just either parroting things they heard or making up numbers
Send me some source, they all say the same thing l, 180-220km, if i am wrong just send me the source, i will read it
I sincerely doubt there’s good primary sources on this data
I tried to see in the suggestions source of this forum and found nothing except some weapons and fuel source.
