BMPT should be destroyed if ammo is detonated

BMPT has no blowout pannel if i am not wrong and hence should be destroyed once the ammo belt is detonated. IFV like marder which also has belts going down in the hull and has no blowout pannel so when its ammo belt is hit it gets destroyed. The problem is that killing BMPT is not very hard if they hull is exposed but in most cases it can just hide its hull and its becomes a problem. Bug reports about this has also been reported by multiple people but gaijin keeps on denying them.

They did accept the third report I made about it but no further update on it so far.

They won’t fix it. Just accept it and forget about it

You know what they should fix as well about the BMPT ?

Their enormous ammo belts (425 rounds*2, lol), and the fact the cannons do not overheat.

I mean, every other NATO IFVs have 100 rounds belts, and their cannon overheats after like 3-4 seconds of shooting. Doesn’t seem fair, nor realistic.

The ammunition capacity is accurate and matches the figures from primary sources.

And the absence of overheating ?

We will forget about it when you stop making topics about it

The guns can overheat, the only difference to e.g. Puma is that BMPT has two of them and can thus switch to the other to continue firing.

Never saw a BMPT gun overheating ingame.

In practice, you shouldn’t need to spray that many rounds to kill something, or at least kill the gun and tracks of a vehicle. I only ever switch to the other gun when ammo is running low or the other gun offers a better shooting angle. Never over heated a barrel.

You can test drive BMPT72 fire the first gun and then switch to the second belt (which selects the second gun) right before overheating to continue firing.

Ngl i think its bug with the gun/ammo tbh, i hit a bmp2m last night and the ammo cooked off from the turret as if it had blowout panels.

I checked the reply, turns out the entire case of grenade launcher ammo detonating above the crews heads didn’t overpressure it lol it just burns like a blow out panel lmao

This feature was present when BMPT (premium) was first added, it got later changed to external bc russian whinning (without proofs ofc).

So funny tho that the unmanned turret on the new freccia OWS 30 doesn’t have any ammo in the fighting compartment since it’s a whole different structure and it still detonates the whole tank. But on the BMPT the ammo runs directly behind the crew and it will only cook off without any explosions.

Not anymore actually, they said they fixed that in one of the recent changelogs.

Although I do agree that it was quite the funny absurdity with how much they blatently lied (and still lie) about the existence of “external belts” on BMPT meanwhile the most external ammo imaginable was somehow internal.
