Would it be possible to give the BMPT’s the apfsds ammunition? I feel like apds won’t be enough at the br of 10.3, since even most of the light tanks are resistant to 30mm apds. Sure, it won’t stay at that br if it got apfsds. Isn’t it better that way though?
Can we also get the 9M220O ATGM-VT that the sturm-s wields? Would be funny to see a “Tank destroyer” turned into an spaa.

yeah, the same as the tech tree but with T-90m armor / side era, apfsds, same turret as the current bmpt-72

Besides 2018 model (posted here. It also got softcase ERA blocks like UBH T-72B3) there is from 2000s with a single cannon (although IIRC that one was just a mock-up). There is also Obj 787 (not a “real” BMPT, but close enough)

it should be possible in exchange for a much faster cannon overheat, which is the actual reason it is not seen very often irl besides munitions depleting way too quick

The ammunition on the BMPT is segmented so that it all doesn’t cook off at once unlike a few of the other autocannon weapon platforms like the CS/SA5 or Bradleys.
Taking out the string in to turret doesn’t cause that much damage to the feed system nor does it really cook off the entire ammo store. It’s a great design overall.
