The BMPT is way too over-powered for 10.7. As an owner of the premium BMPT-72, I’m still saying nerf it to atleast 12.0 as is or give it APFSDS and put it at 12.7. It’s so broken at 10.7 that it is literally impossible to play as any other country at that BR. Please Gaijin, the majority of players feel the same way so please don’t ignore us. 10.7 use to be my favorite BR, but now I just don’t even play it because of the BMPT, I don’t even like to use mine because it just feels so cheap to get kills in it. I will not be playing anymore 10.7 or buying any more premiums until this issue is resolved.
It didn’t change anything. It’s already “fixed” that you really have to be unlucky or simply panic to not be knocked out of the fight for at least 15-20 seconds (15 with max crew). So further changes, plus a BR increase, will do exactly the same thing as putting it on 12.7 or 13.0 now. It will simply turn it into a machine you don’t use because it simply doesn’t make sense. Of course, there will be a 1/10 game where you get lucky and flank someone and get a kill. But that’s it. It’s like putting a PUMA on top and you get the same thing. Or literally any other autocannon.

The problem isn’t his combat rating, but his abnormal survivability. I often encounter him at 12.7, and even with top-tier darts, it’s not easy to kill him or more importantly to disable him. On the other hand it can almost always respond and either kill you or destroy your gun.

I just shot one top down with a DM53 thru the top armor, just got his “ammo” and nothing else, so yeah, this thing’s survivability is better than 2A7Vs in its hey-day when spall liners were at their peak, I dare say BMPTs survivability alone just makes it 12.3/12.7
Gaijin rolled out fixes within a week due to 2A7Vs survivability, but they’re doing NOTHING to fix BMPTs lmao, its damage model is just busted
It needs massive survivability nerfs, and gaijin should give it proper spalling…

That’s exactly what happened to the PUMA, except, the PUMA never received any changes to its underperforming damage model. The VFJT is just a prime example of that, it is 11.0 with no good reason. No spall liners, underperforming armor, missing armor plates, lackluster ERA protection and so on. The BMP-T going up to 11.3 wouldn’t hurt it that much, as it is already extremely armored.
Well, I see you’re not reading. And that’s the problem. But it’s true, it’s funny to say that the BMPT is more durable than the Leo 2A7 xD I like it too, I’m even thinking of making it into a meme wallpaper for the game.
