Right, there seems to be some sort of misunderstanding.

The rpg-7 is designed with a piezoelectric fuse in the nose. The signal from that travels down the body of the rpg to the detonator.

The slat armour crushes that connection and shorts it out, preventing the charge from detonating. The fuse is fine but the electrical connection to the detonator is destroyed/shorted out. That’s exactly why the bars are spaced like they are, the intention is to ensure the connection to destroyed. If the round hits a bar dead on, then it’s bad times and you’re then relying on your composites, nera/era to save you.

There’s no heat jet to disrupt because it never forms in the first place.

It’s useless against actual heat rounds and systems which were designed later but works pretty well at defeating rpg-7 style systems.

Yeah, it’s going to do sod all to an actual heat round or apfsds or anything. It’s very specific in its workings.

Be cool if it’s modelled to work correctly with infantry though.

Just having so much more positive game play experience staying below BMPT’s level. It’s breaking the game, and the developers need to listen to the players. I’m working other countries at other levels until they fix this issue. Grinding my crew’s experience quite successfully.

It looks like the electrical connection to the fuse was destroyed and therefore the round didn’t detonate as it was designed to do. If the round had detonated, there would be nothing left of the rpg.

Fuse → electrical connection → warhead, the signal to detonate never arrived at the warhead because the slats crushed it before the round came into contact with the hull.

It’s one of the best vehicles of its category irl. It is VERY usable.

Devs care about their paypiggies and even gave them some food called crv block 2

Based on what I’ve read on this forum.

  1. Don’t play around the BMPT BR if you want to have fun.

  2. DEVs really love their Russian bias. (Doesn’t exist in my opinion)

  3. Every other IFV needs a rework at higher BRs

Personally for me, keep that Russian garbage (like most of their real life equipment) at br 10.3 since I don’t play at its range anyways. Wait for Ukraine to once again prove NATO superiority for more years in the war to come and let the devs cope with their own nationalism 🤷🏽 whether it’s true or not. If this game were actually real Russia wouldn’t have anything higher than BR 9 in my opinion but balance matters so ERA was designed to give it a fighting chance now devs are struggling to balance unrealistic expectations without breaking their own game.

this is bullshit, its a 25/75 on wether or not a shot in the right place kills the terminator, 25 % of penning and 75% not, and the fact that it can frontal pen on mbts is stupid, it should be moved up to 12.7

this is just stupid, just because you don’t play the br doesn’t mean other people don’t, the terminator blatantly broke the game so now no one can have fun, and the only ERA to actually work is the russian’s

BMPT broke the BR, not the game. I play top tier US/ Sweden 12+ and that BMPT garbage is useless. Even at 10.7 it’s a fight but not a struggle. If having fun in a game means you MUST play around it’s BR then just file your complaint and stop playing the game. Also Russian ERA in real life DOES NOT WORK it is violent and damages their own tanks. Go watch youtube videos (yes more than one video) of a bradley mow down Russian tanks left and right with its bushmaster and see how imperfect their tanks. In game, Abrams and Leos dominate at top tier the only time I struggle with USSR is they have a good pilot in an SU or a decent pilot in a heli can spam get a map where they can hide behind a mountain. In game USSR needs extra protection even if it’s unrealistic cause those tanks are easy 1 shots with crew and ammo being so close.

The Russian driver hatch and gun breach are constantly sending Shots into the void

There is a horizontal 80mm high hardness plate around the drivers hatch if you hit that you get nothing even with best shell ingame
