BMPT/72 BR Topic

In case you missed it.

I never really opposed premium BMPT moving to 11.7 and TT one to 12.0

Things I oppose are balancing “attempts” based on anecdotes.
Guess there’s nothing in between for you.

what they need to fix rn for both bmpt’s its the ammorack being inmortal, it needs to kill the vehicle, there is a good ammount of vids of the ukr war wich for obvious reasons i wont post, that show the vehicle being ammoracked trough the turret and provoking a cookoff on the ammo below

They posted plenty of videos, still gets special treatment

Lmao the fact that you think that’s an actual argument is so funny. You’re just taking 2 disconnected data points with tons of other factors playing in and think that’s proof that the BMPT plays more lower brackets than higher when at best what you’re proving is that it’s impact is higher in lower brackets.
Meanwhile the actual argument is that 10.3-11.0 had 17.221.065 games in march with 48% of those being by russian vehicles
11.3 had 4.458.302 with 81%
And 11.7-12.3 17.893.532 with 25.7%.
Now where do you think do the BMPTs get moved to? The part where russia is already more saturated with less games or the part where there’s less russians on more games?
Ofc this doesn’t account for the BMPTs being brought to 12.7 and 13.0 but those are even worse for your overall argument.

The weapons aren’t new, unmanned turrets aren’t new, the hull isn’t new, the only thing that’s new is the blatantly biased damage model that everyone points to as the most broken feature

I suspect you might have better luck arguing with a block of cheese.

After all, he is nothing if not consistent in having ‘interesting takes’ on stats when they don’t fit his agenda. I’d rank him on the same esteemed level as RazerVon…

“If you have a drunk driver on the road, just remove all the other drivers so he can drive drunk am I wrong?”

EDIT: “If drunk drivers are more likely to survive a car crash the problem isn’t the drunk driver but that the other drivers are not drunk. They need to give out more alcohol to other drivers so when they crash both are drunk and their chances increase. Am I wrong?”

Maybe but I still think it’s important to properly make an argument even if the other side might not be interested in an actual discussion

You can’t have impact somewhere if your playtime is extremely limited there.
If BMPT was some ender of worlds like it’s portrayed here, it’d have overbearing impact on 11.7 and 12.0 as well, but it looks like that never happened.

So, either BMPT isn’t as strong as believed or it simply wasn’t versing higher BR opponents all that frequently and ended up clubbing lower BRs. Pick your poison.

Heavily armored IFV with an unmanned turret is indeed new.

It doesn’t have an unmanned turret. It has a low profile turret with the crew below the turret ring, but still inside the turret (and exposed to the ammo feed chutes).

PUMA has an unmanned turret. An actual unmanned turret. PUMA should also have similarly effective protection against KE threats below ~75mm APFSDS levels.

Wouldn’t be if Gaijin cared about non-RU nations… Namer and Puma should have both been BMPT tier in armor (a bit of exaggeration but both should be stopping any non long rod dart fired by a 125mm…)

That’s just
A. Not true
B. Not even the point. No one is saying that the playtime in lower brackets is extremely limited just that it’s with a very high probability lower than its playtime in higher brackets due to the numbers I presented which means your argument that it’s stats are mostly from clubbing lower brackets is a stupid argument. It’s the second most played vehicle, I really don’t get why you think it destroying lower brackets while also being competitive in higher ones is mutually exclusive.
In fact you pointing out it’s alleged missing impact in higher BRs is precisely a reason that it needs to go up since the more balanced a vehicle is the less impact it should have on existing winrates.

It already has spikes now bmpt armor yeah right. It already can withstand a lot of auto cannons at a good distance.

EDIT: front engine design concepts in a game like WT already make a huge difference in the battlefield

Well they are 11.0 and 11.3 respectively, more than enough room to move them up accordingly if the armor was realistically implemented. Germany and Israel have a lack of top tier light vehicles anyway.

Did you miss the part about exaggeration? Can you read?

Non long rods are very weak… BM-42 would still pen it anywhere.

You also overrate SPIKES, they’re bad.

They’re “bad” and the most skill less method of playing.

Fk the PUMA and fk the BMPT. In fact, throw any IFV pretending to be in a tank in a game out the window. “Light tank” BS gajin adds to this game.

in the first case you turned to the side, which left you exposed to the spike
since the second clip it’s sped up so I can’t gauge the time between you smoking and it hitting you properly

either way you got unlucky

Me when SPIKEs manage to work 1 out of 8 times.

that’s the problem sheer luck vs unluck. If I died to them because someone actually had to have effort no problem but it’s shoot and let some math.ran() determine what your fate is.

Either way April stats are here:

I expect that wr to drop more now that it’s 11.7
All we need now is the ammo rack to cause more damage either to crew or FCS
