BMPT/72 BR Topic

And ? The T72B 1989 has the same UFP armour layout as the T90M so why would it pen the ufp of it.

Also the M1 has substantially better

  • reload
  • optics
  • thermals
  • reload
  • massively better mobility
  • turret traverse
  • gun laying speeds.

The 3BM42 is a very strong round, which is effective even at higher BRs, which is why it’s about the only good thing the russian mbts have going for them outside of the UFP lol.

Hence my point if the M1 got m900 it would shoot up in BR.

You’re missing the point but it doesn’t matter.

what is your point lol, the abrams is objectively the better vehicle than most 10.7s bar possibly the 2A4 ,the 2a4 has the edge in penetration / damage while the abrams has reload and mobility.

Riot about what ?
Premium BMPT being nicely balanced at 11.7 ?

I’m gonna assume this is bait but please elaborate

How would you say it is nicely balanced at 11.7?

Premium one didn’t even perform that well at 11.3, so 11.7 looks like a nice spot to be fair.

Maybe if it’s damage model is fixed

In their current state, both BMPTs are able to dictate the outcome of a match single handedly due to their insane survivability

If it had the mobility of a Maus it wouldn’t be as much of an issue

The effect on winrates, even at 11.3 doesn’t lie, all it takes is a single hull down BMPT or two of them holding W, the opposing team collapses due to having to solely focus one/two players

Even at 12.7 they’d be a problem, clips in this thread showcase that

From January 13th till the end of March, the Premium BMPT went from a KPD of 1.41 to 1.27 and a W/R of 63.9% to 59.5%. Considering it outperformed nearly all 11.3 vehicles (beaten by 2 merkavas and the IPM1 by a small margin in KPD) with 1 million games in March alone (800-950k more than the listed 3 vehicles) I’d say it was still doing extremely well. Keep in mind it’s still holding a near 60% W/R with that many games.

Premium BMPT isn’t dictating anything with those stats.

That’s why they moved to 11.7 which is where premium one should comfortably sit at.

Keep in mind ~11.3 lineups are extremely scarce outside of USSR though.

January 13th, both BMPTs are increased to 11.3
January statistics for the BMPT-72: W/R 63.9%, 1,526,138 Games, KPD 1.41
February statistics: W/R 58.0%, 1,202,593 Games, KPD 1.23
March Statistics: W/R 59.5%, 1,057,386, 1.27 KPD

And because Russia is the only major nation with that large of a lineup it meant the BMPTs were dragged down to 10.3/10.7 more often (which is a fault of Gaijin’s horrible BR placement and compression). We can’t know how many of those games were downtiers or uptiers but we’ll have to wait for May statistics to see what the BR changes do.

Which is why placing them at 11.7 will help a lot.
They’ll now have to play against full 12.7 lineups and go against more popular 12.0 tanks from major nations more often.

If they still manage to hold a 50+ W/R then they’ll continue to go up. Like I said we won’t know until June when May statistics are released.

Can’t wait to play 10.3 USA again and have fun. Or 12.7 but I rather not deal with every nations CAS at the moment. If they finally move BMPT to 12, I can have fun playing the booker and CAS again

I also find this statement hilarious as they literally increased the BMPT by 2 steps (10.7-11.3) previously. Again if they hold a 50+ they might keep going up.

Things aren’t balanced by just looking at WRs.
