It very much does come close to that. This has much smaller weakspots and less of them than normal t series tanks and normal t series tanks already dont have large weakspots

Eh I think that is still debatable. For their BR there are a lot harder tanks to kill than the T-series MBTs (so only the MBTs as was claimed by the other person, the BMPT is another story).
And even then of the T-series MBTs it’s only really the T-90M that could be considered small enough to sometimes cause problems when facing it (which is why a lot of mid and bad players struggle against it and why it’s overhyped so much).
One of my favorites to do against the T-series tanks is just picking out their gunner/commander through the cupola and killing them that way when hulldown, pretty easy to do in most cases aside from T-90M.

The BMPT is at the end of the day, an auto-canon vehicle with ATGMs that has better survivability than more than a few MBTs at the same BR, heck, better survivability than quite a few 11.0+ MBTs (Challenger 2, Ariete, Type90, etc) and for some reason its at 10.3
One of these things come round the corner, you have a fraction of a second to nail a weakspot perfectly, pray that the blood sacrifice to the snail god was succesful and the BMPT actually dies. Otherwise, you are dead. I have seen more than a few just walk into the middle of a load of MBTs, take round after round and come out the otherside with multiple kills and just some damaged paint.
and its never just one. I did, 20+ matches yesterday for the event token… every. single. match. was against soviets. Every. single. match had more than a few. I have never seen so many people get nukes. I started spawning in CAP just to try and block the nuke carrier, they were that common. I know for a fact that next sale, when this thing is half price, im not touching +/- its BR for at least a month or 2, because it will be 16x BMPT vs if its BR doesnt get fixed.
This thing is insane, the onyl way it could possibly be balanced is if it had no ERA.

Uhm and which ones are better in that regard? NATO hulls made out of cardboard? Japanese tanks that can be lol penned in the cheek? Arietes that explode when looked at aggressively? You can make an argument for survivability sure but not for weakspot size and armor

Better as in better protected? Yeah I’ll give it to the T-series (although not protected enough to make them problematic (at least when it comes to the MBTs))

Yes better as in better protected, because the entire point of the discussion was that saying „its protection is not that great, it’s the same weakspots as any t series tank“ is a qeustionable argument when the t series are the best protected tanks with the smallest weakspots.

Different vehicles sucks at different thing, NATO’s can reverse to avoid getting shot, T-series could barely lol
Gun handling + hull traverse not being anemic lets me shoot back when my horizontal (+track sometimes) is out. Helped a lot when using the M1.

What’s the solution here? If its too good for 10.3 and lets face its its not an if. Why are people saying to give it a raise and APFSDS or whatever round, making it 11.3 will make it somewhat balanced with the tanks it would face but giving it the new round would make it even better and thus make it powerful for 11.3 and OP for any 10.3
Its got top tier protection so i don’t really see a point in giving it better rounds for its autocannon unless they make the tank top tier which they won’t do because people have paid for the privilege to be OP
And why would gaijin ever think it would be good idea to place it at 10.3 in the first place?

Same reason the TURM III is where it is, or the T58, or the PUMA was, or the WMA301 was, or the EBR 1954 (though not a shop vehicle or tech tree) was, the VIDAR was etc.

Eh idk protection is one thing but 11.0 is firmly in FnF top attack (if it worked) missile territory, having only APDS and a beam riding AGM would be quite weak

Doesn’t change the fact it was completely broken, you couldn’t kill it and it could just breech you/take your barrel out and pen the sides of everything there easily at range. Again, calling one out but defending the others doesn’t make your arguments look good. Nor does screaming bias at everything that happens.
The same people which say the T80UD doesn’t have 11.3 armour at 10.3
The Bmpt is actually more armoured as well as its layout is different, and has more armour

I don’t care where the BMPT stays, already said this in the poll and in the thread lol. Its an anticipated vehicle on my personal wishlist. I haven’t had much trouble killing them with my Type 90 although I do see 9.3 struggle. I don’t think you’ll see me say I want it staying at 10.3 even if you immediately resort to insulting me like I’m a “russian main”. Leave me out of your nation main games yikes.
The most obvious and easiest option is to just simply move it to either 10.7 or 11.0 in it’s current form, a second option is to give it APFSDS and move it to either 11.3 or 11.7.

I’ve used it in my 10.7 lineup just fine even in uptiers so yeah makes sense.
