the turret ring WILL kill it/damage it enough to not be a threat
the thin plate between the glacis and the upper plate lets
the driver hatch weakspot is actually far larger than in that Gaijin screenshot…
Pretty sure it’s the one they used to lie about the tank being able to ricochet APFSDS with its upper plate add-on back in early 2024, and then it took them like 9 months to actually make it ricochet APFSDS
You just need to avoid some parts of the add-on and you’re good…
Assuming the TVM has identical armor to Strv 122A
Even the Strv 122A currently doesn’t reach TVM armor levels lol
Driver port doesnt really work, not head on. It has to be a bit unangled.
The separation between the UFP and beak also didn’t work in my testing. (300m, cargo port highway)
Turret ring is fair, but you wouldn’t really call that a feasible weakspot on 90M besides accidentally hitting or killing a crew member after its damaged (hull down)
the whole nato tank armour vs russian armour thing is really basic
the t80bvm has better armour than every nato tank except the 2a7s and 122s
the t90m has the best armour for top tier but bad mobility and reload speed
basically the 2a7 and 122 are the only nato tanks that have comparable armour to top tier russian tanks and gaijin should buff the armour of other nato tanks to balance it out. the challenger merkava ariete and leclerc for an example are all missing a lot of armour the challenger mostly its armour is a complete mess
No. Its literally JUST about the 2A7.
I would get castrated by half the forum if I started talking about BVM armor not being as good as people make it to be so I won’t go there.
if you dont want to become a nuclear bomb getting hit in the lfp you can only take 16 rounds
its reload isnt that great
its got the worse nato hump at top tier
its mobility isnt that amazing (its not much faster than a challenger 3)
it gets a turret basket (a nerf in every way)
the 2a7 is HARD carried by l/55 dm53 and good hull armour on the ufp the breech isnt incredibly strong and a bigger weakspot than it looks and the ufp shot trap type of thing is quite inconsistent as ive penned 2a7s there quite often with even l27a1
i think it like 1 second faster to its top speed compared to a challenger 3 compared to its predecessor (the 2a6) its not amazing
the mobility and reload are quite big things along with the turret basket and the fact you can barely even shoot over your side like wtf is up with that. and the armour isnt as good as people make it seem a single lower front plate shot and if there not carrying more than 16 rounds its still a driver basket instantly disabled and the turret face is quite easily pennable and it will take out the breech 99% of the time obviously thats the same with a lot of other tanks but still
i think the leopards should 100% get a 5s reload 6.0s on a max crew which not everyone has and 6.3 on an expert which also not everyone has its still only .3s faster than a chinese tank and .1s faster than a bvm especially when theres tanks in the game with similar firepower and an up to 3.5 second faster reload (type 10 and tkx) the leopards kind of need it
Driver port doesnt really work, not head on. It has to be a bit unangled.
It does, but you can’t shoot at the optic itself, you shoot under it, and the flat plate will catch it - as Gaijin still has not made the hatch volumetric.
The optic is a black hole that disrupts the flight path, otherwise:
Not all that needed, having the armor (on 2A7/122’s) advantage over other lighter MBT’s (largely on the hull) at the cost of reload keeps the Abrams’ and others competitive by trading aforementioned protection for reload speed
At absolute WORST they could go down to like 5.5 ace, but even that’s not necessary
Like this?
Anyway, in my testing the driver port and area between beak and ufp were extremely inconsistent and tbh, I cannot recall a single time I died to the latter. Not to say it cannot happen, its just not a viable weakspot to go for.
