Sure if the turret ammo belts were properly modeled then detonating those should chain detonate the ones in the crew compartment. Additional parts in the turret itself would make at least disabling shots a bit easier and actually give the possibility to fight one hull down, rn you need pin point accuracy to disable one weapon at a time compare that to literally any other unmanned turret vehicle where one well placed shot prevents it from fighting back.
Needing to shoot a pixel so small still wouldn’t do much hull down. They should’ve removed the tank entirely or nerf it more. Slow fire, no missiles, or both. It’s main strength is hull down spraying and volumetrics in game will likely kill you either way by chance.
The scrawny turret is a legitimate strenght of the BMPT so it being hard to hit is fine by me. Whats not fine is that even a well placed shot does borderline nothing due to the damage model being so stupid
There’s a lot of tanks similar to BMPT but shooting their turrets immobilizes them till repaired. Shooting BMPT turret doesn’t make a difference you shot one of its 4 weapons on turret the other 3 will get you. If they just make it that any shot in the turret disables it then good. But right now if you manage to blow up ammo you can maybe kill it if you can get to it’s hull fast enough.

I think the belts do cascade down if it’s the active belt? There’s some youtube videos but it seems like one of those maybe it will maybe it won’t scenario’s where you can kill it. I have used the Type 87 at BMPT BR to spray and pray the turret and it works. Overall, I agree with people they need to just do the one shot to the turret disables the whole turret making it hull down comparable to other tanks. Crewless turrets aren’t bad but I can’t even suppress this tank like I can other tanks if it’s only exposed hull down without hitting some lucky pixels.

Using launch vehicles or vehicles in other BRs that are currently overpowered and don’t belong to the USSR tech tree is poor excuse to keep the BMPT in its current state.
It goes to show you even more, that years later Gaijin just doesn’t really care about the feedback you give them. Vehicles remain broken for months or even years before a nerf or ‘balance’ is made, even then that’s because the developers made the choice to do so lol.

put it in BR 20.0, not allowing it to downtier past it’s limit

At an absolute bare minimum, an increase to 11.7 would mean that even in a downtier, it would face 10.7s that usually stand at least some chance against a BMPT. 10.3 imo just don’t.
Pushing it further to 12.0 would be the most ideal though, as hopefully it would get dragged too top tier most of the time
You’ll just get to top tier and be back here. There’s some comments in this forum about how well it performs at 12.7. That turret hull down with some player brainpower makes this tank too strong.
At this point, I think have the turret disabled after one shot like most crewless turrets in the game is the easiest fix. Even hull down if you can’t kill it you can suppress it at most than put it at the pumas BR rating or something if it performs poorly
It’s like “the best armor is no armor” but actually has armor.
The state of BMPT is still a nuisance didn’t lose my tank once this game but this shouldn’t be almost every fking game at 11.7.
Having to shot a mini pixel the size of a stick over and over again up close is the most delusional game play if Gajin this this is balanced luckily they weren’t hull down when I encountered them and fuji has 4 sec reload but if they merely stopped I would of easily died.
Anyone else notice how Russia just spontaneously has an 11.3 lineup now. If you think the bmpt being placed at 10.3 originally was an unintentional mistake, you’re oblivious. It was placed there for money grabs and had every intention of being moved up to 11.3 where it will now sit indefinitely. They moved the t72 down, added the tor recently prior to that, added the t72 arena, and has the bmpt. All so Russia could stand alone in having yet another full lineup in yet another br
no uptiers to 12.7 so they only face 10.7 and 11.7 lineups. Its genius actually
