I just realized, that vehicle has “external composite armor with NERA elements” but when you check the X-Ray view, there’s 0 composite report from them.
poor namers. When buff?
because they have it in armor inspection. Gaijin is quite strange with that
Gotcha, thought I was just missing something. They also don’t have any of the armor behind it modeled. 10/10 Gaijin models
Namers are anything but light, they took MK4 hulls, changed the turret and added additional armor to the hull because they had weight left.
The Namers should have better frontal protection than the MK4s. It however isn’t a russian vehicle of hyper death and destruction like the BMPT, therefor no dice.
Same thing with the ammo on the Namers, get hit and be left to do nothing because you don#t have additional belts in the hull.
Other IFVs with internally stored belts (like the Marder tanks) sadly don’t get the magical belts of the BMPT where Ivan opens and closes a blast door every .075 seconds to pevent a fatal ammo rack when the belts get hit. Once again, it’s a russian vehicle of hyper death and destruction so it deserves special treatment.
shooting ammo bmpt turret will lead to the autoloader destroyed and atgm.
same as namer, get hit and be left with nothing.
armor thats on gaijin, add that with volumetrics, complet broken moderl or shit model. bmpt and namer
idk what your trying to say but bmpt can be op but easy destroyed if you know where to shoot.
you can even kill both gun in one shot.
Destroying the ammo on the BMPT has no effect on the ATGM as far as i’m aware
Feel like the namer needs the ammo boxes more, pretty screwed once the turret takes a hit and the belt detonates
its next to it, get hit and flammes go up.
auto loader down, no atgm, maybe turret crew dies, also verttical dies too
I have no feedback to give, other than just to say Thank You Gaijin for killing an entire BR for some nations with this vehicle. You clearly do not care about genuine feedback that has been given to you about this vehicle. You only care about the sales it generates while pretending to care what anyone has to say.
I hope more people stop spending money with your company as you genuinely do not deserve it at all.
are you sure? pretty sure i was in that scenario yesterday, cannons and autoloader dead but ATGMs still let me kill the guy who shot me
i’ll go check replay once i’m done with what i’m doing
Yeah, it def lets you shoot
Fun fact, it appears that the Grenade launcher with it’s 3mm of pen can go trough the underside of a Type-16 which seems strange since that’s 15mm of RHA ontop of another 15mm RHA :D
That is a super annoying bug for vehicles with transmissions exterior to their armor model.
You can overpressure them with low penetration HE by hitting the transmission module (that is 1000% artificially made extremely fragile) and that ignores the armor plates between the exterior of the tank and the transmission.
It’s especially easy to do if you fight a VBCI, where the suspension and transmission are just one gigantic exposed hitbox that allows 23mm HE to overpressure the vehicle when it should be functionally immune to that ammo.
PUMA does. French car does
Puma has blowout panels and all the ready-to-use ammunition is stowed outside of the crew-compartment.
The additional-stowage in the hull (not ready-to-use rack) will kill the vehicle if destroyed.
Same applies to VBCI-2 (MCT30).
BMPT does not have blowout-panels, does not have a feeding system separated from the crew-compartment and does not have an ammunition-stowage outside of the crew-compartment.
no doubt
Puma loses 200 shells while bmpt loses around 20 and that’s on only one gun, you can still shoot with the other. And for some arcane reason, the bmpt also gets an ammo box, so you could ammo rack it 40 times until it runs out of ammo in each gun and then he can replace it all in 20 seconds.
It’s really absurd.
Yeah, thats funny af
Also, even with those blow out panels, the VBCI is now killable from ammo detonation since the blow out panels nerf from a few months ago. Idk about the Puma
It’s because the vertical drive module is considered as internal (part of crew-compartment) on VBCI-2 (MCT30)
So is the horizontal-drive module on Puma.
Doesnt make much sense but here we are.
Any BR > 10.3 was destroyed by the BMPT. It only needs a small slope to be invulnerable. I really don’t understand why there is a “probability of sympathetic detonation” for the ammunition rack that runs through the vehicle body. Gaijin symbolically added that “sympathetic detonation would destroy the breech, fire control system…” But when both ammunition belts explode, hahaha, it becomes empty there. The BMPT continues to fire. An empty rack is firing. How ridiculous! They could have upgraded the 2S38’s turret ammunition belt to have a “probability of sympathetic detonation” as well
