Buddy, it doesn’t matter if you use APDS or APFSDS for that, it just doesn’t need better 30mm ammo. I have it, and I play it against top tier MBTs, I’ve zero issues.
If you have it, and find yourself having issues against MBTs with APDS, skill issue on your part.

Yep. The HSTV can penetrate most tanks’ weak spots from the front, but it only has 26 rounds of ammunition and is easily destroyed. The BMPT can also penetrate most tanks’ weak spots from the front, such as using its 30mm autocannon to penetrate the M1’s “super neck.” Not to mention its 1200mm-penetrating anti-tank missiles (and it’s equipped with ammunition racks 😭). And then… the HSTV cannot penetrate the BMPT’s lower frontal plate because that area has additional reinforced armor! I think the HSTV and the BMPT should not appear in the same match; their battle ratings conflict.
What I’m on about is that if the bmpt was a western vehicle, its auto cannon would be as inaccurate in game as it is in real life.
The datamines show that the accuracy is a property which can be set on a gun and vehicle level, choosing to not set it to be less accurate rather than just copy-pasting is a choice.
