BMPT/72 BR Topic

You would have to sever the belt between the sensor and not have the system disabled by the hit.

The wooble was made with only firing 1 cannon. I think its impossible to shoot both or its gonna get self-damaged both guns.

Anyway Im not fan of doing unrealistic changes (such as remove apds or change the ERA). So just changing the belt ammo rack to its realistic state its the best option imo.

A10 actually good against it?

BMPT Bad, needs Buff

Zusammenfassung

no it shake when firing only one weapon too, it is just poor quality assembly like all their equipment.
Is just another propaganda junk machine, they deploy 2 and lose 3

kinda reminde me how media was lying that the bradley would change the conflict but in reality is just shit at sime point the barrel broke mid fight against t90m ( crew survived against 2 bradley) and has to ask back up.

propaganda goes for both side you like it or not

in fact no one right in his mind believe russian propaganda, but in game seem to work differently, a t72b from 1980 is more armored than an abrams from 2010 and bmpt is a invincible machine, meanwhile bradley is just a rp pignata with 0 survivability and some random spall liner placed in a useless point behind the tank

its a game idk what you expect but game tend not be 100% like irl stuff.

unless of course your been eating propagnda since so many year and think anything other than the usa is bad

i don’t even play usa but is the first thing that comes to my mind, a old ass russian junk tank is better armored than the most recent american one, this is pure biasing of developers, letting alone all the other stuff they did to boost russians

like what ? gotta give exemple

This old ass t72 is on par if even better than abrams while the 80+ tons jewbox is completely paper compared to it

Dishonorable mention

really ?

Just for some data on rate of fire of in game IFVs / light tanks with small caliber autocannons. Sorry for the word block, there’s just a good amount of top tier auto cannons

US
M3/M3A3 Bradley (25mm) - 201 RPM

Germany
Marder A1/A3 (20mm) - 1,030 RPM
Puma/Puma VJTF (30mm) - 200 RPM

USSR/Russia
BMPT (twin 30mm) - 550 RPM (combined 1100 RPM. Also, 2x30mm AGL with 400 RPM, combined 800 RPM)
BMP-3/4 (30mm) - 330 RPM

UK
Warrior (30mm) - 80 RPM
Desert Warrior (25mm) - 200 RPM
Ajax (40mm) - 200 RPM (fun fact, the WIKI doesn’t include this one’s ROF. It just gives reload rate of 0.3s)

Japan
Type 86 RCV (25mm)- 560 RPM
Type 89 (35mm) - 200 RPM
Type 24 ICV (P)/Type 25 RCV (P) - (30mm) - 200 RPM

China
CM34 (30mm) - 200 RPM
QN506 (30mm) - 330 RPM
ZBD041 (30mm) - 330 RPM

Italy
VBC (PT2)/Dardo/Freccia (25mm) - 560 RPM
VCC-80/30 / Freccia OWS 30 (30mm) - 200 RPM

France
VBCI (25mm) - 400 RPM
VBCI-2/CV 9035NL (30mm)- 200 RPM
EBRC Jaguar (40mm) - 200 RPM

Sweden
CV 9030FIN/CV90 Mk. IV (30mm) - 200 RPM
CV 9035DK (35mm) - 200 RPM
Strf 9040B/C/BILL (40mm) - 300 RPM
Keep in mind all of these are limited to total fire rate due to magazine/belt size.

Israel
Namer 30/Namer Tsrikhon (30mm) - 200 RPM
.
.
The only NATO small caliber auto cannon that gets anywhere near the rate of fire as the BMPT is the Marder A1/A3 with the 20mm. I personally have no idea on what the weapon spread is on all the vehicles in game compared to their IRL counterpart though. I can imagine it’s going to be an absolute monster in an infantry mode unless they force vehicles to strictly be in first person view.

I mean… it’s not supposed to shred tanks. It’s designed to primarily counter infantry to support MBTs. The reason it’s so cracked out atm is the broken DM, can’t ammo rack it if it’s hull down and the high autocannon ROF ensures it can break MBT cannons instantly then spam 4 ATGMs as it’s on the move (if it can’t pen you frontally like the M1 Abrams).

You’re also forgetting difference in ammunition. At the time, the best it saw was ammunition from the 1980 for NATO (like literally. Most of the 105mm/120mm was from ‘79-81’). At least Russia had 3BM42 Mango from '86 that had good stats to punch through the LFP.

I wonder what happened to the rule of “thy shalt not increase the wait times”

eh, while the Namer might be categorised in WT as a light tank, by no means is it one in terms of armor
You def would need either a really well placed ATGM shot or go for the sides
That being said, they will also struggle to kill you, both front and sides + the BMPTs higher rate of fire gives it a better chances of de-tracking or killing the turret of the Namer

As for the Centauro, if we are talking about the 105mm variants, the front has very angled armor which the APDS doesn’t really have the pen for
The LFP is flat but that’s also where you have a massive engine that would somewhat protect the crew unless you specifically shoot the driver’s side which has less protection and could also potentially kill the crew behind alongside turret ring
When it comes to the 120mm variant, once again, the front is a terrible idea, still same hull but now with added composite screens which means even a LFP is a bad idea

So, with all that being said, the most logical spot is to shoot the turret which offers very little protection against autocannons and practically is a guaranteed death sentence when facing High RoF APDS, even at ranges a bit past 1km, and this is for the more armored turret of the 120mm
105mm ain’t surviving anything

more like “i wonder why everyone and their mothers are playing Russia at that specific rank”. Almost reminds me of the same thing happening when Su34, Su30SM and LMUR for 28NM were added and a certain nation was rather disproportionately picked over the others… hmmm, curious.

It almost feels like a certain nation is getting preferential treatment when it comes to new busted additions. But that couldnt be true, gaijin would never do something like that. They value fairness above all.

It certainly is a wonder how most other nations haven’t received anything truly busted in years by this point, but Russia generally tends to get AT LEAST one of them per update, or every other update.

I’m sure some rusbots will come here and claim “b-b-but other nations got some busted things too!!11” - like yeah, years ago. Default seems to be mentioning the 2A7V/HU, both of which are NOWHERE near as busted as they were at introduction (cus their hull spall liners are basically non-existent in terms of efficiency, but that’s across the board, and their survivability was due to those, and it wasn’t just them either, as the T-90M shared this trait too at first), and they got more and more nerfs throughout the patches, but basically zero fixes (Gaijin still hasn’t made 2A7Vs mantlet as good as 2A7HU’s despite 2 reports btw, and 2A7Vs optic channel can be perforated while other Leopard 2s’ cannot lmao), and then the baskets happened but those basically don’t affect Russia at all ))))

Oh, and LMURs are still THE ONLY F&Fs with actually good lofting, while Spikes, PARS, even JAGM, still fly are very shallow angles and basically impact the toughest parts of armors lol.

Then the fact Mi-28NM can’t even have 8 of them, but a max of 4, and the fact Kh-38MT STILL DOESN’T EXIST but Gaijin is adamant it exists (WITH ZERO PROOF MIND YOU) and gives it out like candy to Russia :DDD
