Dude, are you for real, that thing is overpowered out of its mind, it should be ATLEAST 12.3 as it is now. Try to play something else for a couple of rounds, and see how it is to at the receving end of that thing!

  1. BMPT is already an annoying piece of metal with exageratly good survivability, if it goes to 11.7 then it should NOT get APFSDS. the only way it can “BARELY” get APFSDS is if it goes to 12.3/12.7 with toptier tanks.

  2. if u can’t kill a tank without ATGMs, congrats! u just discovered a 30mm OBVIOUSLY can’t go through the frontal plate of any tank, that’s why u should just flank ur enemy using the amazing mobility of the BMPT (which btw iirc it’s the hull of a T-72B3 UBH).

  3. no, it’s not fair, im even happy to know developers didn’t update it with anything, cuz it curiously looks like it’s able of carrying some type of APS system cuz the LWS cameras look pretty similar to russian APS system carriers like the T-72B3A or T-80UM2.

does it have good acceleration at least??? i have played with T-80s and they have amazing acceleration

TT version has like 20.7 HP/t so they can’t really compete at the flanks.

Funny thing is it can easily disable/kill 120mm Abram’s version due to massive turret ring weakspot.

Yesterday I got caught by BMPT while I was dealing with T-80U, he just rushed me while I was reloading and managed to kill me through my turret ring with its APDS.

Some other tanks also have this same issue.

Who thinks this idea is stupid?

How should we balance the BMPT?
  • Raise BR
  • Remove APDS
  • Remove ammo crate (should do anyway)
  • Remove Relikt and give K5 instead
  • Allow dual fire but with funny barrel wobble like IRL
  • Model it properly so can kill it by ammo rack
  • Historical BR (fighting 12.0s)
  • Give me GE!

Beside that is just a post that I wanted to see what others think about but u took it serious for some reason ,like it’s js a game and it looks like the community doesn’t accept the fact that a light tank has actual armor and can’t just shoot it anywhere and if u can’t kill it then it’s a massive skill issue ,although I don’t know how to kill it since I’m more into Russian ground vehicles and didn’t play any br that faces bmpt in any other nation ,I have killed multiple bmpts before when ussr was matchmaked on both sides and it wasn’t that hard to lower front plate it

It’s ok but I’m just saying my opinion that those autocannons struggle to penetrate tanks side on like the Abrams and leopards even light tanks and the amount of ammo I use is much more than before it got up tiered from 10.7 and even giving it dual fire would make it much harder to kill ,its accuracy will be worse on Long ranges and no one should use it on Long ranges anyways,it will be much harder to kill if
gets double the fire rate it already has in game

where`s “we shouldnt” button? Johns with their 0.43 should suffer, i dont see any reason of it to be higher than it already is.

Everything still suffers around it. Remember the Puma when it came out? 8.3s suffered and the BMPT is just a Puma at 8.3 but on steroids. Impossible to kill frontally unless you have a 105mm+ cannon, you need to kill it before it hits a track. With the Boxer CRV or Ajax for example, missing a lot of the armour and features, get killed an ~1 second of being under BMPT fire even at range.

The wobbling and inaccuracy of the 2A42 cannon is why it would need the high RoF.

but already nerfed so it got 1.24 kd at january. And it`ll keep falling. If thats the case, then the KT should be 7.7 as it has same KD ratio. Lol.

No. Player stats aren’t everything, you compare vehicles at their BR with counterparts and peers. Not just if it is not doing well enough. Relikt is on 12.0 tanks for a reason

There is no other ammunition option for 40mm BOFORS you can find on strf’s unless you wanna create new shell type.

Ah so now they dont matter? Then why the T-72 with 8.7 cannon and 10.7 ATGMs should be so uptiered?
cry of US mains that cant aim anywhere but the gun mantlet is exactly why BMPT shouldnt move any further, It does not really bring sh to the table, Its easy to kill as any other USSR MBT, and it already has underperforming armanment. And its as defective as T-72 as its a pain to play because of bad maneuverability :/

i mean its no joke its literally the same "protection level" as any other USSR tank so it gets easily killed at the same spots

I mean i never tried Clovis as i dont want to buy it. But seeing the performance of DF105 i doubt its bad.

for a reason they also get modern APFSDS for a cannon. And their overall performance is based on that cannon AND mobility of T-80 chassis.

Id answer with the same line the “bmpt op” adepts use - “they never should have been in game then, remove them with compensations”. Surely you get its a joke right?
