BMPT/72 BR Topic

said light vehicles are food because they straight up cannot pen the BMP-T, unless shooting the lower side, regardless of what BR the BMP-T is, it will overpreform due to the nature of its armour in war thunder

fact that there are people on this forum posting with ZOV in the name freely without any action on part of the devs (despite multiple reports), as well as clans existing with ZOV in the name, says all you need to know.

One day, once I had enough, I will raise the issue with internet regulators and we might see how fast things change when people in EU wont be able to access the store lol.

also, fun fact, as someone who actually has british top tier, the Challenge Mk.2 and Mk.3 can be LOWER FRONT PLATED by the 2A42 30mms (without APFSDS) on the BMP-T.

Indeed.

Tbh, I’m done. Once the event is over I intend to take a lengthy break, I’m just tired of their shenanigans.

they are SUPER biased, there is a reason that nerfs only come to NATO vehicles, unless the vehicle is so good it literally makes the game unplayable, i used to main france (finished the ground tree except the damn leopards i dont want), and every BR update literally nerfs france regardless of ingame prefromance due to pure bias alone

im not even going to waste my time grinding mods for the boxer, the vehicle is unplayable in its current state due to the BMP-T, ill just go play tarkov or some other game thats abusive to its playerbase

First of all.

Disrupts the shaped charge of the warher either by crushing it and preventing optimal detonation from occurring

And only second.

or by damaging the fusing mechanism

And this disprooves the second.

The incoming round must travel between the slats.

For sure.

Mine is going to sit there until they come to their senses.

the “QnA” they did got half the community on their bad side lmao, now its time to bury the hatchet, with the only exception of teaching my brother to play the game to get the fuck outta 2.7

?

How do they disprove each other?

The round must travel between the slats and the slats must be of the correct size to ensure the deformation of the fusing mechanism.

Here’s an image of it working perfectly on a warrior

It shorts out the warhead

Logically, the thin steel is going to do nothing to a heat warhead, and it’s certainly not going to deform a formed or forming jet.

same slat armour stops 30mm darts ingame lmao

You literally showing image where slats deformed warhead

you really didnt do well with reading comprehension, did you?

I actually have this equipped on the m1128 which slows it down quite a bit because it weights 5 tons, so far I hadn’t notice it managed to stop anything yet lol maybe I should remove it because the acceleration is so ass

Right, there seems to be some sort of misunderstanding.

The rpg-7 is designed with a piezoelectric fuse in the nose. The signal from that travels down the body of the rpg to the detonator.

The slat armour crushes that connection and shorts it out, preventing the charge from detonating. The fuse is fine but the electrical connection to the detonator is destroyed/shorted out. That’s exactly why the bars are spaced like they are, the intention is to ensure the connection to destroyed. If the round hits a bar dead on, then it’s bad times and you’re then relying on your composites, nera/era to save you.

There’s no heat jet to disrupt because it never forms in the first place.

It’s useless against actual heat rounds and systems which were designed later but works pretty well at defeating rpg-7 style systems.
