Again it’s due to how volumetric got calculated in terms of overlapping and LOS. It’s bs for sure but that’s gaijin’s spaghetti code in action.
The trunnion module is essentially just a block of armor they strapped onto breaches to increase RNG. I hate this company.

I remember when they first added them in dev it was an instant vertical and stabilizer delete, but it basically made the Abrams and Leos unplayable (They were the turret baskets of their day ngl). The Abrams is missing a bit of ACTUAL armor aside from the trunnion but Gaijin’s way of doing things makes me think they do not play their game enough to notice nuances.

Wasn’t that just for Leo? Afaik the Leo got trunnion a few months before the rest of the tanks did, and thus it has a different type compared to everything else. Leo has a structural steel trunnion, while everything else uses CHA (0.94x RHA)
Breach armor is denied on a lot of tanks for gameplay purposes, except for a few exceptions like 2A4M.
Though at the moment no tank’s trunnion have any impact on the tank’s function.
First video: got trolled by volumetric.
Second video: we couldn’t even see what happened due to cut on video.
Third video: barrel ate the shell which happens on every tank from time to time.
I don’t see single point where trunnions actually stopped the shell itself, now granted it can be happen but in this case this videos fails to prove your point.

armor is not 100% correctly in game yet all i see here is some people who complain when it comes to a certain nation but will keep their mouth shut when it happend to their nation.
doesnt take a whole brain to think that the game is broken and need fixes.
and yes its is funny to defend these people, better sink the game to death rather then have a great game with them. hypocrits bastards

We have 7000 interactions on this thread, the BMP-T is still a broken mess of damage models and modules that do nothing. Just died in my CRV 2 by him destroying my ammo belt…Yet his ammo belt did or does nothing. Just played another game and BMP-T turrets just cannot be disabled like other tanks, the modules “Electronic systems” does nothing, the guns still fire and your tank will die…might take 100 rounds might take 300 but you will die.
While yes the community is very vocal about Russian vehicles and the treatment they consistently receive the BMP-T is the worst offender in a long time.

Your shot has been eaten by barrel again, not by trunnion.
Again you’re posting unrelated videos to prove your point but like I said Abrams trunnion can also block incoming shells from time to time.
Its not just as consistent as T-Series.
People doesnt claim this happens only on RU tanks.
They claim that trunnions on Russian tanks are much stronger than its counterparts which is true and has been already proved by forum users.

Yes, this is one is a proper example but still managed to kill 2 crew members so ıts not hundered percent related.
