I wasn’t disagreeing.
That by itself is an indication of just how hated and oppressive of a vehicle the BMPT is, but it’s always easily ignored by Gaijin and Russian mains in this forum who don’t want to lose their precious OP vehicles.

It’s oppressive in the right hands. If the gamer uses both hands it’s a skill issue for sure.
It’s like playing the MAUS except it’s always a downtier so you just don’t worry as much. This was one match and was the target of 3 CAS attacks the MAUS would be jealous.
The worse thing about BMPT is how quickly it breaks ur gun, I´ve dumped ammo on Strf 90 and got like orange barrels this thing consistently breaks gun on the first or second hit
Any tank can quickly destroy a barrel even bushmasters and XM800T will give you the best haircut you’ll get get. The problem is it has 2 machine guns without a crew in the turret so if you hit one you can just press “2” and switch to the other machine gun.
Playing the BMPT and not the BMPT72, it also has 2 extra gunners for the grenade launchers so the BMPT has 2 accurate powerful machine guns independent of each other, 4 ATGMS, and 2 rapid fire grenade launchers. If you’re upclose and manage to blow the belts to temporary give it a nap and push with a light tank the hull facing you will shred you with grenade launchers. Best advice is unlock it and come buff some stats.
It also shoots 3 times faster and is twice more accurate than any 25/30mm Bushmaster.
100%, it’s Russian ))))
Just gonna leave this here

Abrams trunnion can also absorb spall and tank rounds it shouldn’t. I will post some clips when I’m home.
somewhat yes. but it doesnt block damage to the breech like the T72 trunnion does. that thing is a black hole even for the most powerful darts

To me it looks like the Trunnion generated spall here but then again it’s JM33.
In the bottom video here your round never interacts with the trunnion, it ricochets off of the breech armor.

Some of the videos are because of volumetric jank (and that new bug that seems to not properly generate spalling on certain angles), but I don’t see the trunnion outright eating the majority of spall.
Should’ve stated that, mb, I was aware.
Trunnion causes these nonpens on T-72s/T-90s/T-80s and Abrams.
Again it’s due to how volumetric got calculated in terms of overlapping and LOS. It’s bs for sure but that’s gaijin’s spaghetti code in action.
The trunnion module is essentially just a block of armor they strapped onto breaches to increase RNG. I hate this company.
I remember when they first added them in dev it was an instant vertical and stabilizer delete, but it basically made the Abrams and Leos unplayable (They were the turret baskets of their day ngl). The Abrams is missing a bit of ACTUAL armor aside from the trunnion but Gaijin’s way of doing things makes me think they do not play their game enough to notice nuances.
Wasn’t that just for Leo? Afaik the Leo got trunnion a few months before the rest of the tanks did, and thus it has a different type compared to everything else. Leo has a structural steel trunnion, while everything else uses CHA (0.94x RHA)
Breach armor is denied on a lot of tanks for gameplay purposes, except for a few exceptions like 2A4M.
Though at the moment no tank’s trunnion have any impact on the tank’s function.
