BM Oplot-T: Through the Jungles!

Because we can’t have a tank if its stat card depicts a Ukrainian flag folded together with a tank with a Russian flag

Because they already have the T-80BVM

Can you fix the armor please. The performance of this vehicle was like really bad in dev.

Indeed.

I have always been very excited about this tank; but seeing it have worse hull armor than T-80U, the tank it’s supposedly an upgrade from, was just extremely disappointing…

I’d like to think that it was just unfinished and WIP; an RHA plate was clearly missing, the one between the ERA layers… but it worries me that this may carry into the Live server.

Why shall they even folder it? Just add another thing to grind. like the T-72B3 and B3A

Whatever, what I want to say is that gaijin cannot put two flags together. Not now

Ignore it. All we want is historical accuracy. They already put two enemies inside the same tech tree in some nations already. Or it will be nice to have an Ukraine tech tree.

Run through the Jungle?

The T-84 Oplot, while built in independent Ukraine, was designed in the Soviet Union as a continuation of the T-80 series, specifically the T-80UD. Its engineering, blueprints, and design philosophy are all Soviet, so the tank is essentially the final evolution of a Soviet main battle tank. It was only produced after the USSR collapsed, but historically and technically, it continues the Soviet lineage and could reasonably be placed in the USSR tech tree, just like other vehicles in the game that carry on Soviet designs after 1991…

You buy it, then it yours.

If Thailand buys the T-84 Oplot from Ukraine, is it Thailand or Ukraine now?

Thai

I get that it’s customary for nations to buy military equipment from Ukraine and never receive it, but that doesn’t mean that the Oplot-T is Ukrainian.

Then I guess, we need the Su-9 and the Kikka in the Me-262 folder in the German tree, since they both followed designs from Germany.

And the Tu-4 should be foldered with the B-29 in the US tech tree.
