Blueprint ships for all?

These are all ships from countries which proved they’re able to construct these things. They’re usually just ships of already existing classes or slight upgrades. So, no outliers like Soyuz, Kronstadt and all the others. With Soyuz couldn’t have been finished by soviet industrie, lacked the capabilities, other soviet bp ships have German turrets (seriously, how realistic)^^. Crazy additions for the soviets.

Finally, most of the other blueprints were in late stages of production. Like the Sachsen. Just minor parts of the superstructure missing and they were still working on the turrets. Similar pics for Mackensen etc. These ships were all launched and almost finished, while the russian bp’s were just some bolted metal sekeletons inside a dock, at 5% completion or something.

Like this? Add in 168/kmh high speed torpedos and radar for the rus, while the left one has just ww2 style stuff. Also damage model lol. There’s currently not a single part of WT, which won’t look like this. Rus is like on top of everything.

Russia put in an order from Krupp for 6 38cm SKC twin turrets between 1938 and 1940 (I don’t remember the exact date.) So very realistic.

It should be mentioned that H39 was also laid down and will be seen soon™. A150 was even accepted just the other day.

So cold war era coastal boats vs WW2 coastal.

Curious how nobody bitches about the SF40 heavy/light.

This is factually incorrect.

I have posted pictures of how much work was done of Soyuz in another thread. Her guns were built and used in defense of Leningrad. Various other components were built and used as well (AA and secondary guns).

Kronshtadt was stated to be about 33 to 34% completed.

only 66% left ))

Why are you going to finish building capital ships when fighting an enemy that’s pissing out u-boats and you’re fighting a ground war?

why did they bother designing them in the first place?

Because they weren’t fighting germany until 1941 when they invaded Russia.

All that steel, manpower and resources were pragmatically spent building tanks and guns instead of three to five capital ships that would have sat in port likely doing nothing if not bombed.

Probably not smart to make a comparison between a fast attack craft & a corvette, let alone now the Germans also finally get their version of that corvette. (Although funny comparison as both are export vessels as the soviet corvette was built in Germany to a modified soviet design while the boat British as an export model of the Brave class).

Still you’re being slightly disingenuous for both, the Brave class has 40 mm/70 autocannons that fire at a higher RoF than L/60, it also is fast & has a boat spawn, the corvette on the other hand is slow often taking 3-5 minutes to get into cqc from a destroyer spawn, the aft 76 mm also only has 152 shells with an 82 round ready rack & can often depleted all ammunition quickly.

You would probably be better off comparing the Brave to a Project 206, but even than the Germans also get one at 4.3 as well, an you could compare both Project 133.1 corvettes although armament is just pros & cons to both designs (niche, their IRL designations contradict in game designations, they’re corvette’s or MPK’s yet are laballed frigates, which only SKR’s are frigates).

E, wording error, curse this poxy new mobile for formatting.

No, blueprint ships are not going to be added to War Thunder.
There are no blueprint ships in War Thunder at this time.

Soviets don’t have blueprint ships.

Everyone has blueprint ships.

There just isn’t any in Warthunder. Yet.

IE Ansaldo UP41, Tillmans, etc

The context of that post was in-game.

Ohh for chaos sake, not another one of these clearly not researched posts, current list of never finished ships as of January 2026:

(Disclaimer, I use the IRL designations over the in game streamlined classifications)

Germany:

• Z15, Type 1934A Zerstörer, AA refit

• Z46, Type 1936C Zerstörer

• Z46, Type 1936C Zerstörer

• Z51, Type 1942 Zerstörer

• VS-10, Hydrofoil

• SMS Mackensen, Mackensen class Battlecuiser

• SMS Ersatz Yorck, Ersatz Yorck class Battlecruiser

• SMS Sachsen, Bayern class Battleship

• Gneisenau, Scharnhorst class Battleship, main gun refit

Welp that soils the argument of why the soviets apparently have the most that people love to bitch constantly even though incorrect.

Imperial Russia/ Soviet Union:

• Erevan, Project 48 destroyer

• Shcherbakov, Project 68BIS-ZIF light cruiser

• Kronshtadt, Project 69 Heavy Cruiser

• Sevastopol, Project 69-I Heavy Cruiser

• Izmail, Borodino class Battlecruiser

• Stalingrad, Project 82 Heavy Cruiser

• Sovetsky Soyuz, Project 23 Battleship

Italy:

• Commandante Margottini, Commandante Medaglie d’Oro class Destroyer, the very first of the never finished ships

• Etna, Etna class cruiser, Originally ordered as HTMS Taksin, Taksin class cruiser

• Francesco Caracciolo, Francesco Caracciolo Battleship

• Conte di Cavour, Conte di Cavour class Battleship, AA refit.

Japan:

• Amagi, Amagi class Battlecruiser

• Tosa, Tosa class Battleship

Technically speaking the only true fake vessel since the devs screwed up the model: Type 5

France:

• Clemenceau, Richelieu class Battleship

In this list there’s nine vessels from other nations that in gane are considered Battleship & Battlecuisers, so that soils your argument OP of why other nations don’t have X amount of vessels.

As for why the yanks or hell the poms haven’t gotten anything yet can be placed on the facts they’re the most proofed trees currently an will only start to see not finished vessels when they start to run out of designs.

kinda doubt that, the US has almost all of its capital ships represented (at least once), so a Lexington or South Dakota (the never built ones) wouldn’t be too far fetched at this point.
And (in my limited knowledge of the design) a Lion is basically as close as to a (genuine) top tier vessel the British tree could expect
I’d greatly prefer it if they did really finish off the list of real vessels first but I doubt many players are that interested in half a dozen pre-WW1 battleships/battlecruisers before they get around to one of the Lions

Well, I only meant of the past, with the trees closing in on the the last designs, we may very well start to see these non built designs, I personally can’t wait for the South Dakota class (1920), along with the As designed Lexington class.

For Britain the Loin class & hell an as design Furious will eventually come soonish.

my expectations are low but I’ll love her regardless
probably the only exception to my ‘must be finished’ rule

Since when 2S38 is fake ?

Its still in development and just lord knows when it will be finished + adopted.

Vehicle doesn’t need to be in service to be added in the game.

HMS Furious with 45.7cm single turrets

Tell me you hate Britain without saying you hate Britain.

(This is a joke)

I know what your mean and its not entirely wrong for dead end projects. But in this case: What’s the point of introducing an early tech demonstrator, which is just undergoing testing and evaluation for the years to come. Who knows how the real vehicle looks like at the end.

2S38 isn’t an early tech demo.
After all, we already have vehicles that are basically prototypes or demos, like CR3 TD.
