Blank Screen - Vulcan can't init swapchain - Ubuntu

Hi,

I’m having problems starting War Thunder on ubunut. At start I get a blank screen with audio. I get an error "FATAL ERROR " "vulcan can’t init swapchain

Could you please post your full system information from the inxi -F command? You may need to install inxi first.

Looking at your hardware I think you problem might be the age of your GPU (Quadro K4100M), You could try updating Ubuntu to 24.04 and see if that helps.

Ok. Thanks! I’ve had no problem playing on windows with the same hardware. It might be a problem with linux.

Yes, On Windows War Thunder would be using DirectX which support wise generally goes further back GPU wise compared to Vulkan. Also the driver version 390.157 was the last version released by Nvidia that supported your GPU and it is rather old now.
