The skill is still there. just because you aim at a certain point, doesn´t mean all shots land there. There is still some inaccuracy of teh gun and your movement direction in context of the target also effects there ballistic curve.
Though now its less aiming and more where you aim. I generally win because i aim for specific parts of the ship or know when someone moves to irratic to do so. Using there own movement to spread my hits over the ship, by simply keeping the aim centered.
There is still alot of detail to it. But with the old system it was hard to care about those detail, because getting the shots on the enemy in the first place was already difficult enough.
I really hope gaijin simplefies and streamlines the rest of arcade the same way.
Not majorly. Guess what, a WW1 distributed armour scheme will always stay a WW1 distributed armour scheme, and will always be inferior to an all or nothing scheme, no matter how much hype it gets
There are several mistakes to be corrected, such as the inclination of the slope deck. Now it is mostly 70deg whilst irl it was 67deg max (not 68deg from most public sources) only around the boiler rooms and 57-62deg for most of the citadel.
Not really, in dev server Gneisenau explodes within 2 sec after ammo lift is on fire for >90% of the time, even much easier to kill than Scharnhorst in live server
Thx for telling me. Ammo elevator detonations are already making Scharn hardly playable. I was considering to even buy the Gneis. But why, if its the same elevator mechanic (where are the blast doors^^ Its not an open shaft)… Also for what? Bismarck hardly appears to be a worthy addition. There’s no reason to quickly unlock her, just to be DOA.
Whelp, that’s what I get for buying a new premium the moment it’s announced. I typically never do that for this very reason… I was just too excited. Not the most expensive lesson I’ve ever learned, but still unpleasant.
How do you figure? Gneisenau is to be a 7.7, per dev server. The only 8.3s and 8.7s are the new TT bigguns, right? And there will certainly be many Day One Iowas, Yamatos, Bismarcks, and fake Rooskie BBs when the new update hits. Or are you suggesting that Gaijin will limit 8.0 and above to their own BRs and fill in the other slots with bots?
Thought it was 7.3 my bad, 7.7 might still get some downtiers for a while but not as much ya.
Its gonna take about 10-15 hours of grinding for everyone that has the tree completely finished before the update hits to get the new ships unlocked unless they spend 10k or so GE to instantly unlock it, naval grind is pretty brutal. And thats with a premium/talisman ship and time.
Ive been feeling pretty indestructible in the sharn playing it at range and sniping, think most people now are just shooting bots though, I hear its easy to kill via fires or something?
Yeah, you aim just below the forward turrets on the Scharn or Gne and about 75% ish of the time. It will explode a few seconds later and unlike the Ammo racks you dont need 20’000mm of pen to do so.
All you have to do is set fire to the ammo racks and because of their short nature, will travel down the ammo lifts very fast
British 15" and 16" guns at the very least can pretty much one shot a Scharn or Gne if you aim at the right spot and its not a hard spot to hit
Ya I noticed recently id hit someone, and usually i just shoot below forward turrets if I dont know where to shoot, that i would get a “target destroyed” message seemingly randomly like 5 seconds after a hit that seems to only take like 10% off the bar of an otherwise healthy ship I guess this is what is happening and doesnt only affect sharn?
It can be done against any ship, but Scharn and Gne have very short lifts compared to most. So the amount of time it takes for a fire near the top to travel down to the ammo rack is a lot shorter than most.
If its long enough, then its possible to put out the fire, but it seems nearly impossible on the Scharn and Gne if the fire is anywhere but the very very top
I also imagine with Gne, you’ll have a fair few that wont cancel other repairs to prioritse fire fighting as well. Which will only make matters worse
