Better weather system

definitely doesn’t affect smoke in ground vehicles or anything except bushes and trees…

I am on forum long enough to know, that it’s always Snail and “his mind control tricks” that force players to lose their battles ;)

But returning to the topic, it’s always “make it more real vs make it more fair for al”. For each of you the line between these two lies somewhere else.

I was not talking on smoke shells, but smoke from the buring vehicles.

this is true, I admit the GRB battles that have the sun set/rise right over the enemy spawn and in my eyes are rather annoying. It looks amazing visually… until a long 88 round comes out of the sun and you fly into the sunset.
But most battle where fought where and/ or when one side had an advantage…

Must have been the uuuuh…. erm…

With air never getting new maps (especially air sim) adding a greater degree of weather and time of day to existing maps would be a good start. Though they need to sort out server side clouds first. Instead of it being client side and therefore in different locations for different people.

This is why night battles became opt-in, right?

Maybe the night battle opt-in could be renamed to “Adverse conditions”, and it would include harsh weather in addition to night scenarios. Just a thought.

I think the game engine already has a good weather system, it’s just that we don’t see the more intense weather in regular play

Those not designed for such wave action shall suffer, at least then those ships in those trees that are rated for such weather would’ve an easier time, like the Peacock class corvette or hell the Type 12 ASW Frigate will finally have a use for its raised bow section (ahh yes, a ship designed for the north atlantic yet placed in a tree labelled coastal).

Feel free to submit a valid suggestion, sounds interesting :)
