I’ve said this before, for years really, any kind of SL to CRP conversion should be based on this. Or slightly worse.
Then as an additional perk for premium account holders you could give them a better CRP conversion rate.

the convertion rate of GE to SL isn’t linear because of quantity discount
But it would be around 3M SL for a top tier vehicles which is “fair”
also 333:45 is 7.4, which is a bit less than the 10SL/CRP i suggested
And it would be gaijin that decide the exact rate anyway, if this suggestion ever pass which i hope it will at the end of august

+1 Definitely CRP should be able to be used with SL. Maybe not 10 SL → 1 RP but something like 5 SL → 1 RP. With 10 SL → 1 RP. Let’s use the F-4F ICE for example, with 10 SL → 1 RP the research cost would be 4.2 million SL CRP cost + 1.12 million SL purchase cost + 320,000 crew cost bringing the total to 5.34 million SL for one vehicle which I think is too much. If the rate is 5 SL → 1 RP then it would be 2.1 million SL to convert CRP which would bring the total to 3.54 million SL total which I think is a bit more fair.

this is that 5M SL is a lot for a plane
but you get that plane for no time spent, so it is kinda worth
We should actually rally for this to be added IMHO. Its a very useful mechanic and no one uses the GE exchange for it anyway so that would be one of the greatest additions of all time.

Would like this mechanic, but it will never come lol. Gaijin is pay-to-progress, getting rid of the Pay in that damages the company lmaooo

Well I have over 190 mil if I could at least use it on modifications I would be very happy.
10 million sl per rp is quite a bit, however i think 10 is too low. This is a free to play game, people do use GE to buy new vehicles (i am not guilty of this but there was a few of my squad mates who did this when the f14 first came to the game). I think 100 per rp should be the minimum.
Personally, 10 to 1 rp would be a bit easy, speaking for someone who has over 130million sl, If i could research a top tier vehicle for 4.4 million Sl i would unlock all the air tree (been struggling with the air grind) however if it were to cost me 44 million i would definitely be smarter about it, use it sparingly and maybe only to speed up research, say if i had half a vehicle i might use this method to speed it up.
This is just an opinion, im unsure what players who have lower SL balance would think.

Aha, i am mistaken in my calculations then. Yes you are right, 100sl does make a 400k rp plane equal 40million SLnot 4 million as i thought.
You also seem to have a better idea of the fair price, researching a vehicle with the cost you suggest should be around 12-15million SL to research a 400k RP vehicle which is a good balance. This added to the cost of purchasing the vehicle and adding it to a crew should make players who have 100million+ and over SL use it for something useful.
We also cannot forget the CRP, once it is innitially used my people, you must play the game to gain more. The ammount gained per battle can also be revised to give a more balanced economy.
It will also be a good incentive for players to complete gaijins special tasks that give CRP such as the kraken, or minute to midnight tasks and other tasks which ive only looked at once or twice in my life.
convertibel RP crates like the SL crates but use convertible rp 20m rp that sits and rots +1

SL crates are not worth it already anyway. Buying random expert crews is just so much more worth it
This is also a great suggestion, i hope something gets done with CRP, or atleast gaijin gives it a look.
