how should i convince my friend to get a premium plane or premium time bc hes new and he doesent know how long the grind is im thinking about the fw190 or the spitfire bc its not to hard of a br and they are both good planes do u guys have any ideas?

I would recommend getting a talisman for a p-47 or a mustang, i grinded out all of rank 4 with the p-47-d-28
Teach him every possible trick in custom battle first. Let him battle those AI then you. That how I teached my friend. He got to Jet era in less then a month.

This, it will help him more than any premium plane.
British Hellcat MK2, A decent jack of all trades fighter that has a good ammo reserve and wont force him into either turn fighting or BnZ. he can figure out how he likes to play with it and choose a more specific play style plane from there.

Yes it is but its a plane too… the M-18 is a tank, the F6F is a fighter both are called “Hellcat”

Also put him in as the worst fighter. If he aces that trash plane, it means that he’s ready. I put him in to a Ju-87 to dogfight making him better.

hes like very new his highest bc is 1.3 for us i think would a bomber work like the 1.0 with guns?
I belive the Bomber Sb2U at BR of 1.0 at the US tech tree will help alot and the JU-87 B-2 will also defintely help alot. Both aircraft are at a BR of 1.0.

I think the fact that you are even trying to teach him the basics rather than just shoving him into a premium F/A18 means you guys will do ok
I think any of the rank 1 single engine attacker/bombers would be fine. that also one of the reasons I recommend the F6F as a first premium, its good at lots of things… but it’s not best in class at any of them, you need to recognize what you are fighting and how to counter it. you cant just rely on one aspect of the airframe to carry you.
but @O_Warrior0 advice is where you want to start.

Caveat: I haven’t touched RB in a good while, my impressions are mostly driven by SB but should be still somewhat transferrable. I tried to consider differences in advice (hence putting the Mustang MK Ia so low)
I advise against Fw190. Even in SB, it’s a “Hardmode” plane.
The Italian aircraft (C202, G.55 sotto 0) are amazing aircraft and an easy grind to unlock. Their tech trees to top tier are also very lean allowing for a quick grind to top tier. The Saggitario 2 and Ariete make for excellent korean war aircraft.
Otherwise, if you must get premiums…
Tada’s Ki-61 Hei is a rank 4 premium that’s very cheap, lowish BR but good economy. It is a faster japanese plane so not as good as zeros at turning but you do have a chance to contest german aircraft in speed with it.
Alternatively, the Hungarian bf109G2 for italy. G2 is a pretty cool plane with surprisingly long WEP for german aircraft (historical reasons - its max engine is limited until G-4 and G-6 especially where MW50 is introduced). It’s down at 4.3 while still sitting at rank V.
If you must play germany or britain-
Germany, at Rank 2 has the Yak-1B. It’s one of the best fighters at its BR. Drawback is you dont get to do events with it but it has OK economy.
Britain - I love my Mustang MK Ia in ASB. I dunno how well it translates to mouse aim as mouse aim massively hinders mustangs and 109s. Additionally it’s a much harder plane to fly well compared to 109s and especially Ki-61s.
My advise is hungarian 109G2 or Tada Ki-61 if getting premium. Ki-61 if wanting an easier time, 109 if wanting to work on fundamentals while not being as heavily punished for mistakes as other planes.
If not going for premium - I recommend the Italian Tech Tree: The Fiats (G.55, G56) are very good planes - they’re super turny 109s, The Re 2XXX are italian spitfires, the C20X are fast italian 109s. At later ranks you get the saggitario II and Ariete as a premium which are monstrously good korean war jets. Ariete in RB does have to face missilethunder but in SB it’s a monster.
I recommend leaving america for your “I’ve experience now” tree as it requires more methodical gameplay which requires expeirence. Similarly - stay away from Fw 190s until you got more experience. They’re hard.
