best panorama settings for headphones?
Did you already adjust the known War Thunder sound settings first in General Settings?
-Lowering your engine sound as low as possible and raising your enemies sound
-Removing music audio in game
-Set your headphones app to default
yes those but I found panorama settings like 1-6 I have no idea what any of those mean
If you have high quality headphone I would leave the audio at headphones. The application from the brand you purchased should be where you adjust any settings. If not, depends on the type if headphones you have.
Start with 3 and in test drive move it up or down based on what you deem fit. Panorama is more for headphones to adjust spatial sound.

Panorama basically adjust how much “surround sound” there is and in what way. It’s a trial and error setting where you just have to test what best works for your specific headphones.
A tip is to testdrive a light tank and call down artillery, then look around while the artillery is landing and see if it sounds like its coming from the direction where it’s actually landing.

There is also a test sound you can use to help you choose the right setting, it’s one of those “change the settings until all the tones sound centered” things.
