Dying to a vautour in a fighter is always an extreme case of a skill issue.
Even if the fighter has no chance to follow the vautour around, he can just farm ground to bleed tickets and turn a bit every time the vautour tries to make a pass.
It’s fun because it’s a very different playstyle from the meta planes, but doesn’t mean its any good.
A big downside is that it’s sometimes difficult to evade AIM-9Bs with it when uptiered, if you go too fast you compress and can’t outmaneuver the 10G missile. If you go slower, the enemy gets closer to you
Dont forget air RB is not just 1v1 if you have some situational awarness you can get kills and get people killed by just flying around. But yeah most of the kills will be your average unaware Jimmy.
Yeah but the fighter is still putting itself into an unfavorable position where it is risking the vautour wont hit one of those passes which is kinda a coin toss in my experience. But yeah it is quite team dependent.
Yeah but I still think in your average air RB setting it is solid.
Aim-9Bs are indeed something that’s changes the game with it though most of the time just keeping gentle spiral or turn was enough for me
Fair, I was talking within the context of your previous comment, I meant in the context of dictating the fight in the late match in a 1v1 or something like that
