How are the Belgian F-16s treating everyone? I was thinking of going for them next, they seem to have some different and interesting weapon options compared to the US F-16s. Can the countermeasure pylons be used with air-to-air weapons? Or only with pre-set weapons?
General experiences and advice are welcome!
I have no clue for the first f16 since his br stock was not the best at least last time that i played him, for the f16 am, maws and the additionnal countermeasures are only available from what i understand if you only take 4 missiles (so in air you will never have maws/ additionnal counteemeasures and from what i understood it’s a bug), it is also missing it’s hmd.
Otherwise it is one of the best f16 not different than others overall just lighter (since it’s the A version) with a bit more countermeasures, when most bugs will be fixed it will be for sure the best.
I asked about this long time ago and one guy said that its realistic but he didnt explain it very well for my understanding
except the unusable flare/maw pods, its pretty solid I got 3.1 k/d in it, 67% winrate and I wasn’t even tryharding it and playing it suicidally most of the time, I personally take 4 amraams and 2 9Ms 70/50 flare/chaff ratio and yes sometimes it does happen that the countermeasures run out but its pretty rare if you play it right
the F-16A from the other hand is kinda like the grippen A without the countermeasures so pretty sad because you have to rely on sneaking on people and playing it quite passively, you cant really take chaff because if you do there wont be enough flares in order to defend yourself from even one sukhoi or any jet that will spam the entire loadout at you and you cant really pre-flare
Havent played the F16A at all due to it lacking radar missiles, the F16AM on the otherhand I’m actually kinda dissapointed with, It’s mainly due to its radar lacking alot of modes alot of other aircraft have at its BR aswell as I find it struggles to lock targets that seemingly any other radar would be able to lock fine
