Begleitpanzer 57s 57mm Bofors doing no damage to barrels

Why does the 57mm Bofors cannon of the Begleitpanzer 57 do no damage to cannon barrels. I would have thought that a 57mm cannon would at LEAST dent a cannon barrel. Is this a bug or a problem? Will it be fixed?

It was something the community voted on since barrels were too easy to break iirc

Was there such a vote? And if there was, I don’t believe that the majority of people voted for such a strange thing

I may be misremembering i dont remember every change, though i do remember hearing barrels were changed and just continuing on

Cannon damage is just bad. You need to hit it ~@0° (may vary up to 30° but it also depends), it’s easier to destroy a cannon by the side or straight to the front than in a angled position.
