it functionally doesn’t exist. they have a couple of none functional cosmetic only knock ups they like to use for parades and that’s it. its not a real combat vehicle

I’m barely a 2S38 player. I primarily used it after I watched a video on how to play Begleit, and then I adopted its tactics to other auto-lights.
I just want things to be balanced, and moving Begleit & 2S38 up to ridiculous BRs ain’t balance.

Not at this time. It’s too early for any of us to determine if 10.3 is low for it as it has been there for less than a week. I got my wish of it moving to 10.3, and its not like the MBTs at its BR can’t easily deal with it so it’s more of whether or not other auto-lights are balanced around 2S38 more than MBTs.
Right now it’s among its kind, and Abrams’ turret ring isn’t fixed that would potentially prevent Strf 9040C from penning it.
It would be 10.3 if it received APFS-DS, its helicopter warning and tracking capabilities, a bigger ammo rack and HOT ATGMs.

It’s a fully operational vehicle, actually the AU-220M is a cannon used in coastal fleet ships, it was adapted for use in ground vehicles like BMP-3 with the Bajkal FCS,
Also, it entered service in 2023 to replace 2S6.
HSTVL only has a lower body, nothing else is considered an advantage，
Compared to the weaknesses faced by 2S38, the attack efficiency of 2S38 is much higher。

HSTVL is double speed in acceleration while being the fastest tank in the game in top speed.
HSTVL also fires the 2nd best round of the auto-lights, with only VCC-80/60 firing a better round at 9.0.
2S38 is not as good as your post claims. Russia made an inferior weapon to HSTVL because 2S38 needs to be affordable to get sales.
If 2S38 was anywhere close to as powerful as HSTVL it would’ve never gotten passed prototyping due to costs.

No, it isn’t. KDRs are similar across all accounts that play both HSTVL and 2S38, on top of that a cross-analysis shows that mobility + round is in HSTVL’s favor, which is a BR increase of ~1.0 for nearly all tanks.

Your post claims 2S38’s firepower is unusable by claiming superior guns are weak, after claiming it’s good previously, which is a contradiction.
Popularity has nothing to do with strength of a vehicle, otherwise Strv 122 would’ve been the most used vehicle from 2020 to present.
OTMATIC is over-BR’d and should have its APFSDS removed to be put to its anti-air BR.
It is pure Russian propaganda to insinuate that 2S38 is anywhere close to HSTVL in capabilities to the highly expensive HSTVL whose only drawback is the thermal generation.
