The model changed, but that’s it. Same ammunition as the 1A5, and the same weight even though it doesn’t have the Blohm & Voss add-on armor. I don’t have an issue with the 1A5BE inherently, but it can’t have been that difficult to try to make it different outside of a model and machine gun change.
