Battle Pass Vehicles: M46 Patton (France)

Thanks to i’m not playing BP anymore. This one is a shame.
Does gaijin wants to stop their game ?
After breaking the whole naval mode, they are doing only copy pasta for everything since some updates

Did the French even experiment with the 60mm HVG?

I find naval rather fun tbh

The problem is they’d have to fix the 60mm round, as of right now it does the same or slightly less than the rarden 30mm cannon.

M300 is a totally garbage round, even direct ammo hits don’t do anything sometimes.

Check out this forum:

As do I, which is why I was excited to grind out a juicy naval reward. Instead, we got the opposite. Those crates are “non rewards” - they suck. Just another obnoxious roulette crate of nothing worth having.

So my edit is right. Haha. The navel will be a box with 4 or so past premiums like the last battle pass. Jesus Gaijin does a wonderful job of butchering their game all on their own.

Good looking out on pointing it out to me it was the main reward. Hard skip for this battle pass once again. The premiums and battle passes and events nowadays are rather pathetic and not worth the grind.

At this point it would be better to give boxes with random camo instead of copy paste, out of its place, vehicles. Rank1 box at level 10, rank2 box at level 20 and so on. And spice it up with random talismans at level 50 and 100.
No additional work required, money practically prints itself.

No need for camos, Talismans and more premiums in the BP shop - mayby RankIV

and if you have all of them a gold wager!!! at least give the GE to buy something else

I’d love to see a helicopter, or big naval vessel be the bigger prize tbh.

A helicopter would be a unique reward too.

As much as I love ground, the main prize being a mid to low tier tank everytime is disgusting.

They could add:
New Russian “battle worn” T-62
New American “Tropic thunder” m60
New Chally… oh wait, they made that an event one…
New anything pretty much.

I miss when it was just anti consumer practices, horrible balancing, and no rewards.

I like this reward for one thing. It is already existing tank ingame, which means less time taken to work on the rest of the vehicles.

I mean, there is already a crap ton of vehicles in the game and the overall quality suffers because of that.
I would prefer less vehicles with higher quality standard rather than a lot of unfinished vehicles.

Would I like to see new and unique vehicles? Sure, but not at the cost taking care of those already ingame.

Where did you get the info?

Dont forget about fact that it was FIRST heavy tank for sweden alowing them to finally be able to complete various BP or daily missions on getting kills w/ heavy tank and even now they can only really do them using either Kungstiger or KV-1, so Kungstiger was actually useful addition, M46 for France really does not bring anything new to table in comparison.
Sweden really needs some domestic heavy tho, KRV/Kranvagn would be cool and Italy could also get either Romanian captured Tiger I or Hungarian 44M Tas, which was more or less Panther that hit the gym.

i dont mind having the same tank on another country tree, i see a problem where this will be a “reward” for a BP, unless they bring a Third vehicle that justifies it, ist gonna be seen as a low effort BP

The Emil just isnt real enough.

Think a few days ago was talking about it with someone in the shir 2 topic, ended up reading the declassified information from a swedish military museum, 93 pages long it was.

Would of been one hell of a machine had it been developed past the hull.

As someone said could if made it the m47 with the french 105mm

The other problem here that hasn’t been mentioned is this seems to mark the start of a bleed over of imaginary camoes listed as “historical”. I very much doubt any French M46 had the orange camo, which seems very artistic, in real life. As mentioned , they were trainer tanks for France, only in service for a few months. Nor do I think one was called “Legionnaire” in service. Happy to be proven wrong on that.

Until now, Gaijin has held a pretty strong line on fictional camoes, unlike the competition (with exceptions), but this is basically another tiger-striped Tiger, being tricked up it seems because there’s nothing else much really interesting about it. This BP bodes poorly for that continuing into 2025.

What a terrible looking battlepass. Remember when we used to get vehicles like…

Granted, even in the early days they often couldn’t help but put vehicles that differed little from the tech-tree variants (apart from some largely cosmetic differences), such as…

But the M46 is just a snooze fest in general. Especially when you’ve already added Battlepass vehicles for France, such as the EBR (1963) and AMX-50. In fact, at 7.0, the M46 sits at a BR where you simply wouldn’t bother using it to begin with. Simple put, I’m not even mad at taking an existing vehicle and adding it to another nation. I’m mad that America has designed possibly the most boring tanks in history with the Patton series of tanks. And to top it off, Gaijin haven’t even tried to make it an interesting one (like those ones that strap a butt load of hydra rockets to it, or China’s ERA to the max job in the CM-11).

And again, many, many people complained about having “good” vehicles “locked behind a paywall”.

Be careful what you/we wish for, things are not simply black or white. There will always be a percent of the crowd who is dissatisfied.

I am not taking sides here, but the amount of hyperbole (from all sides of this debate) is nauseating. Not calling you or anyone in particular out, your post is one of the few without profanities. All the other negativity I see on the forums isn’t going to help anyone.

It is always going to be a compromise in the end. We need to try and agree as much as possible on a middle solution. Because the loudest complainers got what they wanted last time: “no good vehicles behind a paywall”. No one should be surprised at the result.

This is one reason why I try and consistently leave positive feedback when I see things happening that I like. I don’t want the loudest most obnoxious complainers and posters to be the only ones giving feedback. That is how we end up in a situation like this. Also why I leave likes on positive or at least constructive posts, even if I disagree with the “side” of the argument they are on. Every like that is added to a negative or profane post only hurts us collectively.
