I do RB for naval, really very little difference between AB & RB in naval, unlike with planes or tanks, those I stick to AB mode. But yeah, naval ain’t bad, and yes . . good to earn SL’s for sure
Same here - I play Naval AB, cause that’s where the real players are (I’m tired of bots in realistic), not to mention that it’s simply more fun (unlike GAB, it’s a great mix of fun and as few annoyances as possible - they really should copy airplane spawn mechanic from naval into ground arcade).
IMHO it’s a great addition, love it. The big question is if it’s going to be the only naval reward, or are we doing a naval-themed battlepass? I would love the latter…

There is always 1 reward for each mode.
Just look at the messages from the arrogant pircks in this thread whose limited imaginations already can’t cope with there being people playing naval, and have a little sympathy for them - they would all have heart attacks if there was anything purely naval!!

It’s always the level 38 prize. This isn’t the first bluewater ship in the battlepass, and it’s not even close to the best that’s been offered. They’ve never been the top prize, or even the free prize.
I’ve played close to 200 NRB matches in the last couple months, and there are very few bots now. Maybe 1-2 per team, but often times none at all.

I don´t really like or play naval BUT the Gay Archer was a godsent. It helped me to finish majority of the naval challenges and research the motor gun boat rank III in time for that challenge while actually being kind of fun for what naval is to me. Even destroyed a BIG boat once with a “death of a thousand cuts” :D

I assume that this BP is like the previous ones. Yes, naval AB makes much more fun and is imho more realistic - you have a crew to spot the enemy ships, therefore markings for them is ok.
Yes, this is only the first of the three. I’m guessing the main prize will be ground again, the overwhelming majority of them are, and we just had an air prize this season.
Yeah, the Gay Archer is pretty solid. Fast and agile, with a forward firing Bofors at 2.3 is nice. The Dark Aggressor is better in almost every way, but what can you do? Still a solid little MTB. Unfortunately for me though, I’m already into rank 5 on UK coastal, so it’s not much of a help on the grind.
So do I but the question still stands. Why pay so much if you don’t play modern era or naval? Maybe a pathway choice would help ?

I also play every game mode. Ground less than air or naval, but I still have plenty of time in GRB.

I have the USS Detroit but I have never played it. I wanted the Sd kfd half track SP. Didn’t even know I had the Detroit until months later. Kind of a waste really.
Hard to please everybody but I can see many don’t do navy. Some of us have a BR limit we stop at, I know we all have references but maybe less BP per year but a choice in which path to proceed along. Air ,Land or Sea.
I think the point is to encourage people to try new things in the game. If you buy the BP, you will always get a naval prize of some form. The last few haven’t been the best, but you probably have them.
That is a fair point and I do question myself for not moving on sometimes.
