General Info
The Bandvagn 206 is a Swedish vehicle made by Hagglunds, Its history starts in 1974, the Swedish government wanted something to replace the predecessor of the BV 206, the BV 202. The BV 202 was getting old, and several complaints would arise on how the vehicle was uncomfortable to drive in. The BV 206 was designed mainly as a troop transport and equipment carrier, although it does have a few armed versions that are in service in several countries. One of the requirements, which makes the BV 206 a very versatile vehicle, is how it was designed to go through snow and bog-lands in northern parts of Sweden. The low ground pressure of this vehicle allows it to cope with a wide range of difficult conditions. Another great thing about the vehicle is that its also amphibious, being propelled in the water by its four tracks. In terms of speed, it has access to a ford V6 petrol engine producing 136bhp at 4600rpm giving the vehicle a maximum speed of 56kpm on the road and 5kpm when in water. In Italian service, In 1982 the Italian military ordered 30 Bv206 as a material and passenger transport vehicle. One of the unitis who would use this would be the ‘‘Alpini’’ troops, or in English ‘‘Alpine’’. Main reason that the vehicle was chosen was due to how versatile the vehicle is, and the fact that it has low operating costs, which means little maintenance. They currently have over 100 units in service today. The Alpini, more specifically the Divisione Cuneense, 3o Regg. Alpini, Battaglione Susa would install in the 80’s a TOW launcher platform on their BV 206’s, to give it the extra punch in firepower, however as the years go by, the TOW is becoming more and more older, so there is talks of it being replaced for something else. Italy between 1999 and 2003, would have the BV 206 subjected to an extended service life upgrade and brought it to the Bv206D standard, with 6-cylinder diesel engines.

Why it should be in game
Nice filler vehicle for Italy, and much better than the M113 they currently have. This is due to the BV 206 being smaller, faster, and it generally being able to climb up surfaces better than the M113 can in game. It also opens up the possibility for many nations in game to get this vehicle, in their own special configurations, such as America and Sweden. Could also be used an an event or premium, which im sure many players will enjoy working for. The vehicle is not op, since pretty much it has not armour for it to survive more than 1 shot.

I like it, I love the work, and no offense to you whatsoever, I feel it would be better to add it to its main nations tree as someone else suggested with a recoiless rifle before other tech trees, but what do I know, still would love to see it in game!

+1 absolute yes
