you what

At this point I just can’t.

on the bright side it stops Scimitar to Phantom being such a big jump

You can literally get the Sea Harrier FRS.1 for free, the purpose of the Sea Harrier FRS.1 Early is to serve as a filler to the Naval Air line up I believe.

I genuinely just dont get why we got this as the tech tree. I mean hell, the other one is free. granted it takes a couple months to get it but you can accrue points on it while playing anything. you have to play the Scimitar of all godforsaken things if you play by the line (you don’t but you get my point)

Has a nice digital mach number read out on the left side.

And its raised up like it should be;

I get what you mean and played by the line for years (I gave up the F2P insufferable grind and bought a premium).

That cockpit looks amazing, hopefully this also gets the modern RWR buff other vehicles are getting.

I ground using a multitude of aircraft. a decent amount of prem account and prem vehicles (mostly bought on sale, but still)

It hasn’t been a rewarding experience really (though I do enjoy a good bit of Phantom FG.1)
However i fear the introduction of R-73 will end up in anyone who doesn’t have MAWS finding a new and improved way to die.

hopefully this also gets the modern RWR buff other vehicles are getting.

The Sea Harrier RWR was pretty rubbish IRL. It should give you a CW warning though.

Edit: I thought the Sea harrier was still using the ARI 18223 RWR from the Harrier GR.3, but it turns out it got the much better ARI 18228 RWR.

Does look nice. Going to be fun in ASB. Should do me till FA2

Finally we got the updated cockpit and the radar changes will also help alot especially in sim.

Now I wait for the Hunter F.58 cockpit to be updated

Love we get another SHar

Basically just a Falklands War Fit version as opposed to the Phase.1 Upgrade version we have as a squad Veh, which improved the shortcomings of the SHar during the conflict.

Havent read the technical side of it, but from what ive read from pilot accounts, im under the impression it could identify the different threats, and alert the pilot by means of different tones for different threats?

Whilst im spamming this topic again, rather than collate it all into one post…

Any reason why the Squad FRS.1 cant go down to 10.3 for Air RB?

If the argument is “flares & more missiles” the A10 sits at 10.3 with 4 9L and many, many more flares than the FRS.1.

AirRB Only…
FRS.1 (e) to 10.0 like the prem A10
FRS.1 from 10.7 to 10.3.

The airframe performance also matters, the FRS.1 is fine at 10.7, so will be the Early at 10.3, we dont need more flareless planes suffering. I’m litterally stuck at tier 6 in Sweden because nothing has flares and is completely pain.

The RWR played a tone matching the PRF of the radar that is locking you. So if you can remember the frequency of every enemy radar, and be able to identify a specific frequency by listening to it then you can tell what’s locking you. otherwise it’s not much use. IRL it could also only warn you of a single radar at any one time.

Edit: Turns out the Sea Harrier had an upgraded RWR.

Gaijin doesn’t need to know that :D

The Early, and normal FRS.1 have the same performance.

The only difference is the addition of tow more AAM Rails.

And the harriers dont really have that great performance.

0-400mph acceleration is all it has, after that, its a brick.
