BAe Sea Harrier - Technical data and discussion

And what are you comparing it too

What values do you have for the size of the wing and all of that stuff

Net thrust?

Sweep aspect ratio

better avionics, better payload overall (not just bombs), better targeting pods, better range, better cockpit

Ok they updated it a bit but the FA.2 has all of that and much better performance

The AV-8B can hardly even fly at 35,000 feet

The FA.2 was designed to cruise and conduct combat at 35-40,000 feet via the addition of a new prl

They are literally the direct values that you provided in the random chart that you cherrypicked from a different source.

Thrust values are also ones that you have provided.

If we use both sources and then try to index the planes turn performance to 14 AOA like you suggest then it would defy physics. It would not at all agree with any pilot claims or anything that is actually represented in this chart.

Why do you have 7G at 400 knots circles?

Ohh right the pilot claims you cherry picked from the harrier 2 lmao

no, it does not. that is flat out false

its ceiling is 50,000ft

an AV-8B+ is a much more valuable and versatile aircraft than an FA 2 even if it is slightly worse at high speed

I’ll tell you for free it’s not mate ok thank you

Because that is the maximum ITR that you are claiming for the plane. But also you have not shown conclusively one way or another whether or not that is at 17211lbs or 15,500lbs.

No?

What are you talking about I never claimed that’s what the wing is pulling at 400 knots

You’re making stuff up now to make it look like you know what you’re on about

just talking to talk atp

There is a tacman online for the harrier 2 ok

Go look at it and you can see it’s 1G flight altitude barely makes 35-37 k

Meaning it has no extra power to fly higher unless it trades speed

so its for a specific speed?

The high altitude maneuvering performance of the FA.2 was increased 50-100% over the baseline harrier 1

(A plane that already flies higher then the harrier 2)

No

so it could do 50k it would just be a little slower

Literally. Right. Here. You bellend.

No that’s it’s stall boundary it can not maintain that

The black solid line is what it can maintain

That’s with VIFF

I never made any claims about it pulling 7G at 14 degrees AOA with the wing alone

I said close to 6G for that not 7

You’re not even using the correct G values in your calculations

It’s no surprise you won’t share all the values

This datapoint is calculated with VIFF you dolt.
