Interesting that those both say the dual SNEB pod carriage for Harrier was only with the lightweight, 19-shot expendable Type 115/116 pods rather than the heavy, re-usable 18-shot Type 155s we have ingame (155s shown as single carriage in the second image)
This is a 116M pod

The aerodynamic cone was frangible and blew away when the rockets fired
The CRV-7’s LAU-5003 pods are similar in this regard IRL. But in War Thunder we have LAU-51s as the CRV-7 pods instead of proper LAU-5003s

9L acting like how 9M should

Meanwhile it should be acting like a R73 in tight turns, like an AIM174B at range, DF 41 speed and IRCCM and lock-on of the most advanced ASRAAM
lol he didn’t switch the afterburner off so that’s how the 9L should be but reliable

we need to get this behaviour more normal. and give the F5 its actual engine heat as that’s a major thorn at 9L BRs too, there was a thread years ago about it with flame but went nowhere, maybe we can have another shot at it all
As we know the F5C has been the centre of deep discussion for various reasons (Spammed, ahistorical flares & hard to lock)
After a short bit of digging, i’ve found that a NASA test (pdf linked below) with the J85-21, the engine produced an exhaust gas temperature of 1000 degrees Kelvin (727 Celcius) which is hotter than the F5C produces in game, at both 100%, & during WEP.

I will look into the F-5 turn rate too it can apparently do like 20 degrees a second in game which is just mental and not realistic as far as I know.

May be accurate for F20 but not the tiger

Watch at 2:20 seconds you can see the actual speed drop just by pointing the nozzles forward.
It would be cool if gaijin modeled breaking stop.

Well… It took 9 months to get the correct radar and cockpit. Another 18 Months for a parital HUD. So we should have it fixed and finished sometime in 2027

I love that the math adds up
One sec I have the perfect picture
Yes Gaijin that is where my bullets are going
Gunsight is in ATG gunsight HUD mode though however that’s where the CCIL is
Do wish we could kept the old hud or just used the one on harrier 2 until it was finished. not having gun indication kneecaps me in a dogfight.
