We need BL755. That would be be the perfect addition for 2025 I think.
It would be pretty fun, is it a shaped charge based cluster munition?
Yeah…
I am almost convinced then when it comes to weapon assignment. Its a matter of lucky draw rather than historical fact
I think so? At least I know it was capable of Anti-Tank and was the prefered weapon system vs tanks on the GR1
Spoiler
Yeah it seems so, I guess the main issue is gaijin getting them to work without putting everyone down to 10 FPS
Yeah. 1x Tornado dropping 12x BL755s would be the same number of “entities” as 3 (and a little bit) F-111As all firing off their entire supply of rockets at the same time. The game server seems to be able to handle that, But I wonder if it could manage multiple Tornados at once. (I still remember when heavy AAA ships in naval would practically crash the match if they fired their AAA)
phantoms taking rocket pods was a way people trolled a couple years ago, theyd set firing to series and just watched. server killing results came from 3+ people doing it at the same time.
i thought its still possible to crash a server with heavy AAA ships no? renown, baltimore, alaska and etc?
I knew I wasnt a crazy person for believing the Lightning had overwing bombs!
Not that i’ve seen of “late”. At least hasnt happened in a while when ive taken Renown out
Gaijin could spend some money and beef up the games code lol.
And overhaul the game engine. Effectively making the next gen war thunder with more realistic FM and all.
Because illumination flares only ignite many seconds after release meaning they are no-where near the aircraft when they ignite and the missile will never see them.
It was considered, but never actually done IIRC.
According to gaijin thats all we need (also if it got wired that helps lol, would be funi)
You need more than that. As far as I know the over-wing bomb racks were never built or tested. Or even mocked up for that matter.
It’s just something English electric said they think they could do if someone wanted to pay for development of it, and no one did.
Interesting discussion about the BAe Sea Harrier’s Technical Data.
Most on topic WT forum thread fr fr
Interesting that those both say the dual SNEB pod carriage for Harrier was only with the lightweight, 19-shot expendable Type 115/116 pods rather than the heavy, re-usable 18-shot Type 155s we have ingame (155s shown as single carriage in the second image)
This is a 116M pod
The aerodynamic cone was frangible and blew away when the rockets fired
The CRV-7’s LAU-5003 pods are similar in this regard IRL. But in War Thunder we have LAU-51s as the CRV-7 pods instead of proper LAU-5003s
Ligma launcher
Who the hell is Steve Jobs?
I think he started Cherry or something
