That would be a good capability upgrade for 11.0
Might even push it back up to 11.3 if combined with EEGS, if nothing else, it will be a big boost for the FRS1 currently struggling at 11.3 already in SB vs the Mig-23MLDs

I have no issues with it at 11.3 with all the buffs.
Yup same, if the performance is truly deserving of the BR, that it should definetly move up. Id rather be at the higher BR with full capabilities than at a lower BR with none.

After Hornets sting I will see what I get put through for the VIFFing, STR and IR sigs.
They went as far as to buff them already so I think they might do it
Yep, I think a detailed and carefully written bug report for the IR signatures is going to be required, but its going to be very hard to properly report

Yes I have the IRL report regarding the 9L seeker and the flares.
So I could just get someone to fly behind me and test with the 9L
I’ve always wondered why the Phantoms were 12.0 when the best Gen 3 dogfighter with the second best BVR was at the same BR as Sea Harrier with a crap radar, only 4 missiles that have 4km somewhat reliable range, only 60 countermeasures and subsonic. Pro Russian and Anti British bias as usual
FGR2/FG1 are also at the same BR (Only the F4J(UK) is at a stupid BR)
But yeah, FRS1 in its current state vs Mig-23MLD makes 0 sense, and has rendered it basically unplayable. Instead I play the FRS1e at 10.7
I don’t have the SHar e. I personally think the F4J(UnK) should get AIM 7F and/or AIM 9L because it is useless at 12.0 with the worst of all worlds Phantom and it has to compete with F4s that have better radars, better missiles, sometimes HMS, it makes no sense, Gaijin could have made quite a lot of money if they made the F4J(UnK) useful and good

Yeah, at a bare minimum, being the inferior version of the FGR2/FG1 it could match their BR
They should move all Harriers down to match the American Phantoms that do not have agile eagle slats.

Yes just the addition of a lerx on the gr.3 increased sustained G and instantaneous by around 1G
Was looking for the photo you mentioned on google images to post here so people can see it existed but found this:
So if you look carefully you can see in the red outline is what looks like a Sea Vixen radom.
In green is a Shar 2 (but it might be a modified Shar 1)
In orange is a Wessex and in white is a GR.3.
I suspect that the Shar 2 here is a prototype upgrade for a Shar 1 and not a Shar 2

I have Jane’s Aircraft Spectacular Aircraft: Harrier, and in the book it shows a pic of the GR.3 with LERX to prototype for the Harrier 2

Nah, it’s Tangmere’s Sea Harrier XZ459.
It was in service as an FA.2. The museum just painted in its old Falklands-era paint scheme without converting the airframe back to look like an FRS.1

Sorry, I’m not British and don’t know or have access to those museums, unless I pay like 60 000 Rand for a flight there and back
