Will this reduce Harrier IR signature?
- Yes
- No
Will this reduce Harrier IR signature?
It propably would. At least a little, At least if how we think the IR signatures work is right. But still probably not enough.
According to the history of Gaijin’s balancing
-Losing some thrust in station
-but no extra thrust in higher speed
-The code got fuzzy again, as always and gets no reduction on IR signature enough.
Should’ve had Northrop make the harrier
Yeah, Gaijin loves to bias some selected jets from Northrop
and if Northrop built Harrier
Then ion-thruster from F-5 will heavily helpful for dealing with the IR problem of the harrier XD
Wouldn’t really change it that much. Would just make the max VTOL weights accurate.
Hopefully they fixed STR too.
So from what i am getting at overhere is that we are getting a nerf to the harrier I s for thrust output?
Wasnt that just increased?
The static installed thrust of the Harrier is too high for all marks.
The thrust at speed is still significantly too low.
Gaijin doesn’t seem to understand that jet engines don’t lose all their thrust when they move forward.
STR is still around 1G less than it should be.
STR of Harrier Gr.3
Aahhh i see yes you are fully correct
Wait a minute is that a thing XD What ???
An experimental AV-8B with wing tip sidewinders.
It would be cool for accurately calculated VTOL weights.
I think the biggest nerf on the harriers at the moment atleast the GR II ones is the fact they are missing 2 missile pilons
4 missiles is just not enough for 12.7
No not for Air RB but for cas its plenty.
Fully agreed on the Cas
But the GR7 is facing Pantsirs and its struggling against that too
Best option is to have a GR9A with 6 missile pilons and Brimstones
Aaahhh what a beautiful GR7
Agreed
How many years has the report of 6x sidwinders been up ? And they still dont do anything about it ?
I dont whant to ping Gunjob
