BAe Harrier II (UK versions) - Technical data and discussion

T-4 was never fitted with radar.

A Hunter was though

Yeah, didnt think one was, then a Sea Harrier FRS1 (early) for the 9.7/10,0 BR would be fun

Agreed. Honestly if someone managed to get their hands on a Frs.1 aircrew weapons manual we could add a few different Frs.1 Shars into the TT, and they would all actually be different and interesting.

Perhaps, not worth going totally overboard though on additions though. Quite a few other airframes id like to see added besides a few more Harriers.

Yes I mean only like 3 Shars total. Pre, during and post Falklands.

We also need the Hawk, but we are sort of running out of jets to add lol.

  • 3x Harrier Variants
  • 2-4 Hawk variants
  • 1-2 hunter variants
  • 1-2 Tornado ADV variants
  • 1 Tornado IDS variant
  • 1 Jag variant
  • 2-3 Typhoon variants
  • 1 Gnat Variant

I think we have plenty left to be added and then there is everything else i’ve not mentioned from the Ultimate tree

A hunter with a radar would be an interesting addition. What hunter was it and what weapons could it carry?

Regular weapons but with the radar it had no Adens, so AIM 9Gs and stuff

I do like those adens, would be a shame to lose them. Counter measures?

Same 25 Adens but I think I also saw an option by BAe with the GAU 12/U for export or anti armour, something like that

Saw a video claiming the F2’s getting sniper, is Gr7 capable of receiving it? The pod we’ve currently got is pretty rubbish, so it would be nice to see any improvement at all, and harriers are generally going to be less threatening than the F2.

Cannot recall if it was Gr9 or 7.

thought both could take it

Gr9 is a given, just can’t recall if it was on the 7.

If it was on the 7 it would be bloody nice to have instead of TIALD. Being so close to the battlefield to positively ID targets is pretty painful and is only going to get worse with the new AA kit being added. Going to be more important than ever to know what vaguely tank looking blob is what.

Alternatively, can just give up on using the harrier (or playing British toptier ground), but would be nice to keep with harrier.

99% certain both did. Just no intergration. So the Airframe recongised it had a Tpod, but thought it was a TIALD.

But I guess its being saved as an “upgrade” for the Gr9A but we’ll have to wait and see, at the moment its only the F-2

Excellent, so I’m going to have to wait another 4 years for a viable strike harrier compared to the threats we facing 😿

Yeah… Unfortunately. Im guessing the Gr9A is being saved for ASRAAM or MMW Brimstone 1s (never used dual-mode IRL)

So pressing the keybind to zoom turns laser on, laser keybind toggles thermals ect. Gets bug reported and labelled not a bug as its a feature lol
