No it is not. It is a T.10 with the wrong engine. It was shown earlier in this forum when the Dev server was open, originally it had the GR.7’s engine but now it has the wrong engine, people think it is a T.12 and it is carrying most of the weapons of the Drone Age Gr.7
Yes. Its X-ray and flight model on the dev server started out as a copy paste of the GR7 and once they updated the model the mk107 was implemented.
ZH657, the harrier trainer that’s in the game is a T12 in real life
It’s armaments is just a “balancing factor” otherwise it would be running ASRAAMs, more than two BOL and phimat.
However T.12s still didn’t have Mk.107 engines.
There was only one “T.12A” in Joint Force Harrier with the Pegasus 107. That was ZH665.
IIRC there was one more being converted from T.12 to T.12A at the time of Harrier’s retirement, but it wasn’t completed.
The other twin-seater with a 107 was ZH653; BAe’s development aircraft at Warton. That wasn’t a full T.12 and wasn’t part of the JFH fleet.
Question: Have the Harrier GR.7 and T.10 got their correct MAW yet? and if so, is it working properly? I’ve seen some videos recently of rockets/missiles from friendlies trigger the MAW even when the friendly is firing and targeting an enemy so it made me wonder if is fixed yet
pretty sure its a radar MAW now which is correct but in terms of its specifics i can’t answer that
I mostly mean in a general way but thanks anyway
Dont forget
- Sniper Pod
- Brismtones
- Paveway IVs
- 6x AAMs
- TERMA
Seems to be semi-functional, but I think PD MAWS needs some further refinement, had a few issues on the Typhoon with it just drop flares for a friendly firing nearby
looking forward to an actually useful targeting pod
Brismtones will also be a neat option for a harrier
Yep, just hope they allow for Dual-Mode Brimstone 1s if MMW still hasnt been added yet as a placeholder as it never used the Dual-modes IRL
I think
Like that’s gonna happen
I doubt Britain will ever get MMW, not until more fictional Russian missiles come
Now that we’ve got some good images of the Typhoon missiles, would it be worth me suggesting them to gaijin?
Thats because ASRAAM wont fit in the F-35 bays
They can but they’re the same effective size as AMRAAMs
I meant the side bays that the IR missiles are usually mounted in. :)
I think we don’t have to worry about that too much IRL. The British claimed that wanted lots of “cheaper” jets in the 90s-2010s but just ended with less than 40 and won’t buy anymore because they are lazy and poor
It was specifically designed to fit inside F-22 / F-35 weapons bays. The decision for the US to pull out of ASRAAM was entirely political.
Why do RAF and FAA F-35s carry them on wingtips?
I was under the impression F-35 is speced for 9X
They can’t use AIM-9X from the bays yet either.
But as always the question whether it will be done in future is down to money
Certifying ASRAAM for the bays is a whole separate series of trials and associated costs.
Internal ASRAAM carriage was planned, but got cancelled due to budgetary constraints (the trials needed to clear a weapon for carriage are expensive).
