BAE Hägglunds announced a new CV90120

Also looks like there’re more rounds in the autoloader. 3D model shows 16 rounds as opposed to the 12 in older versions.

Doesn’t seem suitable as an anti-drone system, I feel. A 7.62mm machinegun with high elevation and fire rate would be as good. Or a 30mm chain gun. It might be a weapon system to deal with light skin vehicles without using the limited ammo of the main gun.

That GAU-19/B would be so cool :O

It seems like the 12.7mm can elevate independently of the main cannon, something like an AMX-30.

So maybe we’re both right since a 12.7mm might be as good against drones as a 7.62mm, but a 12.7mm would still be better against light vehicles than a 7.62mm. So you could have dual purpose potentially?

Thinking about it, which CV90120 is shown in the background of the video? seems to have different commander sight and added iron fist

I dont know what version of CV90120 it is, since its just in the background it might just be used as a test rig for later versions

made me remember the modular armor package from some years ago, shame it never got made as far as i’m aware

that looks sick!

Hopefully we at least get a prototype soon so we can have a cv90120 that’s ACTUALLY worthy of 11.7/12.0 (i mean come on we have the Sprut with 3BM60 at 10.0…)

In the video he confirms it has spall liners, and that all cv90s has them at 5:50. Maybe this can be proof to get gaijin to add spall liners to some that are missing them, like the cv90120 we have in game, the cv90 mk.IV and maybe even the cv90105. It is kinda bs that the cv90 mk.IV doesnt have it, should have lwr too

Damn those images need an NSFW tag.

Saw it yesterday, very interesting and would be a nice addition

So far it’s just concept renders right?
Any idea what rounds this thing might be using?

It uses standard NATO 120mm rounds from what I can see. So pretty much any of those unless there are restrictions on some rounds because of recoil forces or something.

It is indeed only a render, with the ammo, we can assume that it will have the same ones as the earlier versions

Man, I hope they build a prototype. Or even better, that Slovakia buys some. They’ve been thinking about it.
