Spare Road wheels
Tanks have always been prone to breaking down, and often times it was common to see tanks carry spare parts for some of the more common things to see break down, one of those things was spare road wheels, A component that could be replaced by the crew in the field.
Occasionally spare road wheels were used as additional armor however their effectiveness was questionable. And more often then not they were carried for use as spare parts rather than for extra armor.
