Ye the IR guidance was part of the potential balancing issue. 20 FnF missiles with decent penetration? Balanced at a highish tier. 20 FnF with very little penetration? That becomes an issue to place.
Yes Gaijib I know this is similar to what I just posted I replied to the wrong post
and my reply to you above just to confusing
That was is from like Kyiv Defence or something I can’t remember but u can also find it here.
The LMM’s IR guidance is used in mode B of its guidance system. The LMM’s dual-mode seeker combines laser and IR guidance to engage fast-moving and difficult-to-hit targets. The LMM’s dual-mode seeker ensures high precision even in complex operational environments.
Other LMM guidance modes: Semi-active laser (SAL), Laser beam riding (LBR), Imaging infrared (IIR) terminal homing, Inertial navigation system (INS), and GPS (global positioning system).
The Martlet (LMM) missile uses infrared (IR) terminal homing as one of its guidance modes. The LMM is a lightweight, multi-role missile that can be used for precision strikes against aircraft, helicopters, and drones. It has a dual-mode seeker that combines laser and IR guidance
Oh dayum that’s cool. Didn’t even know.
I will be honest, that looks like it is taken straight up from Wikipedia, and that one was on it for years.
Question, FnF or LoAL? If the IR is LoAL then they’d’ve to be Brimstoned.
Yes, that’s what a terminal homer is. LOAL
No I summarised that from the website (the reply, not the actual suggestion) and just had it summarised just in case someone couldn’t be bothered to read the actual website. If u look at the website it states the same thing just in a longer version. I’m not a missile guidance nerd so I don’t know 100% but the source is there if you want to look and correct me on anything. I’m happy to change anything that is incorrect.
It’s not from Wikipedia, I would never commit such a crime.
If you mean the army recognition site then the data on is taken straight up from Wikipedia, and that data was on it since pre production.
I am still looking for a confirmation that any other head than SALH one was made.
Ahh didn’t even know.
Even Brimstones though have both MMW LOBL and MMW LOAL modes. Only gaijin neglected to mention that part in their rejection of MMW for the Brimstone
good suggestion! however two key missiles are missing from the armement, ZT-6s and Spikes, both of which have been advertised as options for the HMA.2, as seen below;
Oh cool. I’ll look at these and add them to the suggestion later l. I looked for a long while and couldn’t find much apart from those I included.
I’ve just given it a quick Google and found some stuff, I’ll definitely add to it. Thanks for the help👌🙂
The Algerian Navy AW159 Wildcat uses ZT-6 Missiles. The South Korean Navy AW159 Wildcat uses the Spike Missiles. The Royal Navy does not.
Yes, I know
However Gaijin regularly made it clear that the weapons used by the vehicle in game does not always have to reflect exactly what it used in that nations service, take the South African Gripen, German Eurofighter, French Eurocopter (I believe) and many others
Oh yh good point. Ill add it on.
I mean, anything to make it just a little bet better in game, ya know :P
Plus 4 spikes/ 8 ZT-6 would actually make it top tier worthy and give it a reasonable BR to be equipped with the Ungodly amount of Starstreaks/LMM
Yh especially since LMM only has 6km range
