Eh… You need to maintain LoS with the weapon, not the target. So depending on range and your positioning. You fire over a hill, set the target as it goes above the hill and then when LoS is broken, it should have a target and be FnF.

yeah but with the wire guided stuff you wouldn’t need to maintain LoS to the weapon, and i assume there’s a reason spike-er armed helis weren’t brought up with the lmur earlier in the thread
Oh yeah. I don’t think anyone actually knows what that’s for, so I guess it’s fair to assume that it could theoretically be something other than Starstreak. No alternative for what it could be comes to mind for me, but I don’t know everything.

NLOS is more the exception then the standard
why we still adding helicopters there either OP or mid you should rework the ones we already have instead of adding new ones

yea im just trying to guess at what gaijin is doing, unless smin really did forget like half a dozen helis have spikes already.
also the NLOS Mk.6 is 50km, the one the wildcat is getting looks to be the 5, so 32km

Looks very cool, but utterly pointless, Pantsir SV will kill this thing without breaking a sweat.
Still a game breaking SAM that Gaijin have no intent on balancing. Unless that does happen don’t expect any NATO helicopters to be of use.
Still crazy after multiple updates the Kh-38 is the best ground attack weapon in the game

What’s left to add other than the one you showed?
Hopefully this means we might see in the future more naval helicopters but still the wildcat will be interesting. Though we will see how effective it will be might be a bit hit and miss compared to a general attack helicopter
Cant wait to face off against this tea drinking wildcat.
I hope it will go after the original lynx in a separate tree offshoot not after ah mk2
