NZ has selected the MH-60R as their Seasprite replacement, potentially different to the Aus ones in this tree already, but its best to wait and see to see what we fit to them.

Hells yeah man. I heard something briefly on the radio about NZ this afternoon but totally forgot about it.
Judging by the press release it’s expected to be essentially the same as the Australian MH-60R.
Could always be a premium at least

Is the UH-60M considered to be added to the list since Australia is going to put them in service and the Australian Army does have some of the secondary weapons the UH-60M utilises
To my knowledge the Australian Blackhawks are completely unarmed saved for maybe a door gunner. If anything comes to light that we do mount weapons on them then yes, I’d add it in.
I don’t know if they could be added but for 20ish years there were 2 Mi-24 and 2 Mi-8 choppers at RAAF Tindal. I think PNG Government bought them to help with a civil war but the ended up at RAAF Tindal, and they were armed (at least the Mi-24s might be able to be added dunno if the Mi-8 would be useful).

That’s actually very interesting, I’m very ok with adding a PNG vehicle given the political history and current ties with Australia. We had one PNG coastal patrol boat in the ANZAC coastal tree. If I can find some info on this Mi-24 I will add it.

I dunno if it was British contractors who bought them or if they would be the ones to operate them, the were eventually destroyed in Darwin I think.

NZ did used Mi-8’s but only for Scientific and Civilian usage only primarily for forestry during the 1990’s and 2000’s

Looking a bit deeper into this and I am not sure. They were on Aussie soil for 20ish years but we just but some tarps over them, called it a day and went to the pub. They weren’t airworthy after a few years, it would be like adding a plane just because it crashed on your country.

I wouldn’t add it as Australian any way, I would add it as Papua New Guinea.

So it seems to be an Mi-24D, which if it just takes a copy paste weapons approach for War Thunder (like some other vehicles do, cough cough our Super Hornet, cough cough) would be a nice gap filler at BR 8.7 in this tree. I think I should add it.
Yeah even though its C&P there isn’t really anything there so it could work. Anything on the mi 8 btw
