Audio glitches and game stuttering (Possibly a sound mod issue)

When my update today was complete my game started to glitch out really badly in the hanger mainly with the audio, I thought it wasn’t that big of a deal so I muted the game audio however when in an actual game it started to glitch even more making the game stop functioning and making it next to impossible to play the game.

even more so whether the game crashed or I closed it normally it always says “Send crash dump to developers?” and I am just beyond confused.

Does anyone know what’s going on and why this might be happening and is their a way to fix it?

Update your drivers. Remove any custom content. Verify the game files.

If you’re still having issues then you can bug report it here (just search a bit first so that you don’t report something that is already reported and known about): (Gaijin.net // Issues)

A guide on how to report bugs can be found here: ([Navigation] Technical Knowledge Base | War Thunder Wiki)

Okay so I disabled my sound mods and when I started the game it was no longer having issues, audio wasn’t glitching and the game was running fine, however when I re-enabled the sound likes the audio was glitching again and the music kept pausing and I knew it would make the game stutter again which would anger me so I didn’t hope into a game to test and when I closed the game it once again asked me the pop up saying “Send crash dump to developers?”, I did try validating the files on steam before I came here but it said everything was fine, as for updating my drivers I don’t know how to do that to see if that helps out.

So far it might be sound mods that are the core problem but I still want to make sure their isn’t something else at play, got anything to fix it because I use sound mods to make playing the game a bit more enjoyable for me?

along with that how do I update my drivers?

That would be up to the creators of the sound mod. They have to make the mod compatible with the new game version.

Oh, that’s going to be hard to explain since it’s different for different devices and operating systems.

I am on windows 11 and on PC if that helps.

It does.
Small warning though, i don’t recommend poking around to much if you don’t know what you are doing, but updating sound and graphic drivers should be fine though.

If you press “WIN+X” and then select “device manager” in the list (or press “M”) then you get a full list of all your installed devices. You can then right click the device you want to check and click “update driver” and click “search automatically” (don’t do manual if you’re not 100% certain that you know what you are doing).

Alright it didn’t work, after this I firmly believe the sound mods are causing issues, however when sound mods are active the game still stutters and freezes making the game frustrating to play, do you know how sound mods could causing that?

I’m guessing that there are errors when the game tries to play some of the audio files which takes up a lot of compute power so the system gets overwhelmed. But that’s just a guess.

Alright then I got nothing more to add, I’ll keep my sound mods off for now so the game works and re-enable them when I finally get confirmation that they are working again or until sound mods that actually work without causing issues are uploaded to WT.live

Thanks for all the help.
